My biggest problem with KK is his situational decision making and that he doesn't seem to have a plan. Sure, it's nice to go for it on 4th down and everybody is happy when you make it, but you have to no the situation and consequences if you don't make it. Going for it yesterday pretty much ended the game. OTOH, the previous drive, I believe, Shanahan had the lead and less yardage to go in his own territory and punted. Again, the right call.
I remember a few games ago KK going for the TD on the last play of the first half eschewing the FG and a free 3 points.
Yesterday getting the turnover with 8 seconds left, I can see one pass attempt to get a FG, which they tried and failed to complete. But why in the world wouldn't you throw a hail mary into the end zone on the last play? You just won a game a few weeks ago on that play. Granted, it likely won't work but a flat pass to Kirk is definitely not going to work with 4 seconds left.
These are just examples us fans can see. A HC should be prepared for everything. We could back game thru game and find very questionable decisions. There's definitely a pattern and it says he makes bad decisions under pressure.
Kliff is a great coach when things are running smoothly and everything is working, name a coach that isn't. But when things become a struggle, he rarely seems to have answers or a counter.
