You must be reading the Cardinals forums with this thought process. No need to get cute if you get the #1 pick. In what alternate universe would you would pass on Zion. If you get lucky enough to win the lottery (literally & figuratively) you take Zion. If not you take Ja. If hes gone well then maybe you look to trade out or take BPA.

Nope, no Cardinals forums for me. I'm not advocating for passing on Zion. If for some odd reason he isn't our guy though we should trade the pick instead of taking someone else because no one else in this draft will be able to make an impact like Zion. Now if we fall to #2 or #3 then I could see the value in selecting Morant but taking Morant, Reddish, or any other players that are top prospects over Zion is crazy. We should not pass on Zion but I can be sold on the idea of trading the pick that could have been Zion for a great return.

whats with the 5 TO's for Morant? Seems like that would be worse in the NBA.
Maybe, but the NBA game tends to be more spread out than college and he is also the primary focus of the opposing defense. In the NBA he will have more players around him that the defense has to account for. For example Trae Young averaged 5.2 turnovers in college last year and is averaging 4.0 in his rookie year. His college situation was also pretty similar to Morant's.

Its about the ratio. Nash had a lot of turnovers too. 2:1 is ok. 3:1 is better.

Probably ought to take this discussion to the draft thread.

David Fizdale describes the game from his perspective.

"Two desperadoes fighting for crumbs on the table." David Fizdale talking about #Knicks and #Suns, who have the two worst records in the #NBA and a combined 17 wins going into tonight's game."

27 wins is bad enough, no need to take 10 of them away Duane.

Translation: "We've figured out that TJ isn't coming back, and we're okay with that. It's time to learn how to compete without him."

He's the best player on his team by a lot. That tends to result in turnovers just from being the focus of the other team's game plan and from having the ball so much.

The top 5 guys in the NBA in turnovers per game:

1. Harden
2. Westbrook
3. Young
4. Booker
5. Greek Freak

It's not as big of a red flag as some posters are making it imho

You’re making it seem like TJ is cancerous to the team or something and I doubt that. However, I do think the team plays with more energy and effort with Oubre than Warren.

Cotton Fitzsimmon's wife JoAnn was on the pregame show. It was nice to see.

He was a tremendous loss.

Suns 1-8

Why not throw the ball inside instead of just chucking it

Ayton is not aggressive early. I hope Jordan's big body is not the reason.

We’re almost 60 games into the season, how can the team still have such difficulty guarding simple pick and rolls?

They’ve only thrown it to him once it’s just been hero ball with Oubre and Booker being black holes

Maybe Ayton needs to feel challenged to play his best.
