According to some people on the espn board ABC in Phoenix reported that Kobe was in town and the possibility of a sign and trade?

I hope not. Kobe is a great player but wants to be the center of attraction. We need a more team based player.

I am not sure that is true. Sure Kobe want to be the #1 option but I don't think he is not a team player. Shaq seams to have an attitude and doesn't mind speaking his mind. I am happy with the team we have now + a starting center.

Understandable. However you have to keep in mind that the big sports news that broke today was the Dbacks firing their manager.

So its possible that something like this could fly under the radar. Doubtful, but possible

Not news worthy? Lets see here. The suns just offered him a max contract two days ago and he's in phoenix today. If that's not news worthy, I dont know what is. Of course kobe in phoenix during free agency is big news. What r u smoking?

He says that the Suns aren't meeting with Kobe today, despite what has been reported.
But, he said that the Suns aren't out of the Kobe hunt, and they still have the possibility of a sign-and-trade.

Probably small chance but the Suns would have been stupid not to keep options open to still get Kobe despite being active on the market already. Getting Nash may make it more attractive for Kobe to want to come here.

If we could move JJ, Eisley, Chicagos pick to Dallas for Nash or to a team under the cap we should still be able to offer Kobe the max if we wanted to.

Sorry dude you're missing the point. They are reporting he is in town, that is all. So friggen what? I saw Mike Tyson at Walgreens, should we interrupt all regularly scheduled programming?

Hey, I used to go to Tucson to visit my Grandmother. Paul McCartney owned a ranch by Tucson. When he was in town, radio stations updated sightings. News crews showed him going into stores, etc. Now imagine Kobe, the drama of the Lakers saga, and his courtroom drama, and he's like freakin Martha Stewart during her court case. Anywhere he would go in Phoenix, they would show it! If he's there, all the media would be on it. Especially if one station is on it. The other stations wouldn't want to be left out!

First of all neither me nor you have seen the report. If the report is given during the sports part of the newshour and there is a meeting then of course it wouldve been reported everywhere. Hell these days, even if he was just seen in phoenix, it wouldve been big news just because of the free agency. No one cares about tyson because he isnt the closest thing to michael jordan that people have seen in a while and he definetly isnt gonna be signed by the suns. Completely different.
