I mean, I think he has some issues...I was hoping before the game that he'd score 50 again, because I figured that meant he was taking most of the shots and that is good for our style of play.

Well he did, and also had 7 turnovers and they lost.

But man...can that guy shoot...how many tough, falling down, fadaway threes did he make...absolutely disgusting.

Yeah, he was sick on some of the shots, but Nash came up with the win. So who was the MVP?

those threes in OT were insane as was the 5-pump-fake jump shot and the fadeaway three in the corner with 1min in regulation

Definitely Nash, especially with all the TO's by Kobe and him just being a ball hog almost from the get-go.

Nash showed you tonight how an MVP should be...the rest of our guys would be mostly lost out there without him.

I didn't watch the game but my twin bro just called me and said Nash played really well especially in over-time with his assists.

I think the debate now is Nash is not LESS the MVP than Kobe is. Both have excellent season and both are legit candidates. Kobe can be the People's Choice MVP but Nash will get it and he doesn't deserve less than other candidates.

I don't like the fact that he thinks because he's a great player, that makes him
a) good person and a b) tough person. Especially since he wouldn't talk smack or bully a guy like raja bell in the street without gettting beat down, but ....

he is absolutely an awesome player. Honestly, when we were up 9 with 50 + seconds I was still worried because of how sick he was. That sideline three, and the, turnaround keep the pivot in ot, were unbelievable shots. I didn't think we'd see anyone do stuff like that since jordan (and i don't even remember jordan consistently make shots of that difficulty).

No question he'll be there in game 7, and i'm scared to death of the outcome of this series because of that. Other guys on the team, kwame/smush/sasha, may get tight in game 7, but just him alone being there scares the hell out of me.

Did anyone catch his post-game? Quite possibly one of the funniest post game comments ever.

A reporter asked how Lamont would handle giving up that rebound to Marion.

Kobe's reply, "It's like when you go to the bathroom. You don't stand there and watch it. Eventually you have to flush it."

That was funny.

IMO, Kobe is the best player in the NBA, but not the MVP.

However, I agree with Raja's assessment of him.

I didn't like that elbow he gave to Barbosa.

It's really pretty sad. Kobe is so talented he does not need to throw the elbows and it detracts from his skill.

come on now. that elbow to barbosa was completely inadvertent. there was no way he was intentionally trying to throw an elbow at barbosa.

I gotta say - I hate Kobe Bryant - but that comment made me laugh and put a little spot in my heart for him - no one breaks out the "don't look at your own crap in the toilet" comment - priceless.

Like he didn't elbow Mike Miller in the regular season or Bell in game 5. Kobe always does that.

Two different guys have been elbowed in the face by Kobe. A lot of inadvertant elbows happen around him.

the mike miller elbow was absolutely a dirty play and kobe has gotten away with other dirty plays just like raja bell has and ginobili and bruce bowen, etc. i'm just saying that the elbow that caught barbosa on the lip tonight was inadvertent. i'm not saying kobe never throws elbows on purpose, just that the one on barbosa tonight wasn't on purpose.

Wasn't on purpose, but you are somewhat aware of where your defender is and where your elbows are.

He was going right up into Barbosa's face with that pass...

BUt I agree, it wasn't like other intentional ones he's had.

You know how amazing Kobe is when all the talk on KTAR Post Game including comments by D'Antoni is how great of a job Marion did defensively on him...

And he got 50...

I couldn't believe the 3s Kobe made with Marion doing everything but blocking the shot.

The one to end the first half, Marion was in Kobe's jock on that one and Kobe still hit the shot!

That's homerism to the core, about Barbosa. Dude, Kobe was going up for a shot, going to the basket, with both hands on the ball. He also didn't push his elbows out like wings. It was straight up.

Barbosa got smacked, but that stuff is definitely incidental.

My MVP is Nash because he makes his teammates better. But your TO argument is weird. Nash has 3.49 TO a night Kobe has 3.13.
