I personally prefer KOBE, only because he seems to be a more rounded player. Better defence, better passing, and has won b4...

It was a tough decision. I chose Kobe Bryant. Tracy McGrady's back worries me, and the Suns could theoretically sign Kobe Bryant without having to give up major pieces to get him. I think it would take both Shawn Marion and Joe Johnson to get McGrady. I also like Kobe Bryant's killer instinct and defense much better.

I voted both obviously because when you have a chance to put together a team of two current top 5 players and a future one you have to do it.

We wouldn't have a lot around them but that's what you improve in the future.

Trade Marion, Johnson, Barbosa for TMac.
Trade White, Cavs pick to Charlotte.
Draft Ben Gordon at #7.

Leaves our capspace at ~17M$

Sign Kobe starting at 13M$+ , Sign McDyess for 2M$, Sign Vujanic for 2M$.

McDyess/Lampe/Voshkul
Amare/Harvey
TMac/Zarko
Kobe/Jacobsen
Gordon/Vujanic/Eisley

Not much of a bench really but the 1,2,3,4 definately the best in the league by far and all young.

This is no choice at all. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA. But he's not coming here.

guys if you bring tmac to the suns you can count on loosing amare. amare doesnt like tmac, period. get over it. it isnt goingt to happen. and the idea of trading away marion with everything that he brings to this team is just down right stupid. tmac and kobe together cant even come close to what you can get out of jj and marion in the rebounding (which is one of these teams biggest weakness).

LMAO
Do you seriously believe that?

There was an Amare special on TV and Amare said when he was young he tried to follow TMac's footsteps.

And TMac and Kobe are 2 of the best rebounding wing players in the league.

If Marion goes, Amare's rebounding would go up.

I'd go for Kobe even if everything else was equal because he is much better on defense. In any case, I hate the idea of tearing apart the team by trading away core players for a player with a bad back.

I think Kobe Bryant is a great player, but he isn't the best in the NBA. He might be the best non-center/forward. That comes down to him and T-Mac. The best player in the NBA is Tim Duncan hands down. Shaquille O'Neal (when he applies himself) and Kevin Garnett are a somewhat distant second and third.

Sounds about right. I think Duncan has always had a better supporting cast than KG, but he has the rings to go with MVP trophies.

BTW, I think it might be interesting if they were to have a conference MVP, so someone if the East has a chance for recognition. I'm guessing J. O'Neal would be a good pick.
