This was pretty much the last thing he had left to get. He's been a champion, MVP, won a scoring title, and a gold medal, but never finals MVP. Congrats Kobe, it's been a long time coming.

Can we please, please, please stop making Lakers threads in the Suns forum now that their is another NBA forum. If I have to read another Laker or Kobe thread I will vomit.

He's got a point. People really should use the Other NBA forum and leave this section for things related to the Suns. That is the point after all is it not?

I honestly am not trying to be annoying and although I absolutely hate the Lakers with a passion, the Laker fans on this board have all been classy and have boasted minimally (at least those who I have seen). Its just frustrating as a Suns fan that 8 of the top 15 threads are Laker related. There is now a place to discuss other NBA stuff so why not use it. There simply isn't many Suns boards around that we can discuss our team and it sucks that one of the only ones we have is being taken over. I am not saying this out of bitterness to Lakers fans, but more out of hope that we can have a Suns board again.

I think your request is more then fair and your complaint more then Valid. What would help would be if the Mods could move these to the NBA Forum.

I feel your pain lol. I personally think Lakers fans, especially the one's in AZ, are extremely obnoxious. I know Lakers 'fans' that have never even been to LA, or california for that matter, but they love to boast and brag about a team they know nothing about, quite annoying. I didn't put this in the 'other nba talk', because frankly i forgot about it, lol, my bad. If the admin wants to move it, he's more than welcome.

Don't feel too bad, Suns fans. Yer moving your training camp to Diego (San style),,,and you've finally convinced A'm'a'r'e' to wear his goggles, tee, hee, but, you are O & 41 and Kobe just did leave the Magic in Orlando. One charter going back to California. Just one.

Love always!

0 & 41? What are you talking about? Is that your score on an IQ test? :)

Kobe Bryant averaged 32.4 points and 7.4 assists per game against Orlando during the Finals. The only player to match or surpass Bryant's averages in each of those categories in an NBA Finals series was Jerry West, who averaged 37.9 points and 7.4 assists per game for the Lakers in their 1969 Finals loss to the Celtics.

Irony: A Laker player wins the first (recently renamed) Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award :D

BTW: Bill Russell was never awarded a Finals MVP. The award began in 1969. Russell's Celtics won the title, but West won the first Finals MVP even though the Lakers lost.

Lebron may be the regular season MVP, but Kobe is still the best basketball player on the planet.

Wrong! Its easy to say that after they just won the title but I still take Lebron any day! You put Lebron with Gasol, Odum, Bynum, Ariza and players of the Lakers and they dominate! Lebron played with a bunch of scrubs and still won more games than the Lakers and if you replaced Kobe with Lebron the Lakers would have run away from everyone in the league all year long. Your a Lakers fan so one would expect you to say that Kobe is the best, many non Laker fans disagree.

And you're a typical biased Suns fan that takes any oppurtunity given to downplay Kobes talent. With the exception of LeBron's big 3 pointer at the buzzer to take one against the Magic, he was terrible closing out games. If you are in a tie game with under a minute left and can have any player in the league to bring home the win for you, I would bet cash money that most head Coaches would take Kobe in a heart beat. As for the theory that the Lakers would dominate with LeBron over Bryant, that makes a huge assumption. The assumption made is that the Lakers sometimes lack luster performances were the fault of Kobe which just isn't true. The problem was often that Bryant would be the only one that played like the game mattered, the rest of the team would just take a night off. I have seen nothing from LeBron to make me think he's a good enough leader that he would change that mentality where Kobe couldn't. You're doing nothing but making an assumption based on your hatred of Kobe. Not surprising, in fact, rather typical.

Congratulations Kobe! In celebration of Kobe Bryant's achievement, here's one of my favorite pictures of him:
