In any case, if Kobe gets traded I think the Knicks are the most likely destination. They have some guys worth having and getting a future Knick's first is a pretty good investment.

huh? why would Kobe Bryant, who is sick of losing, agree to waive his no trade clause to be traded to one of the most disfunctional and worst franchises in the league, led by incompetents?

Actually I think it was no secret how good Kevin Johnson was -- he had been taken #7 in a pretty deep draft -- but the Cavaliers knew he wasn't going to supplant Price. It was a good example of the advantages of drafting BPA instead of for need, since Cleveland was able to fetch an excellent player (Nance) through a trade shortly thereafter.

And wasn't Nash chosen #15 or such. Also I think Nance was taken somewhere near #21. The Suns trading that #7 to Chicago still hurts. This is why I do not like the Suns trading away draft picks especially this year in a supposedly deep draft. IMO always draft the BPA unless they are rated in the same tier.
