I love percentages...

Lets break it down.

When Kolb starts a game the possible outcomes have proven to be:

An injury: 24% Yes, he has gotten injured roughly one in every 4 starts.

A win: 29%

A Defeat: 71%

And how do his teams do when he does NOT play?

A win: 78% (yes, over the last 2 years his teams have an absurd 78% winning percentage when his worthless butt stays off the field)

A defeat: 22%

How bout those percents!

I really hope I never, ever, have to watch Kolb in a Cardinal uniform again, regardless of what happens with Manning. Kolb was arguably the stupidest trade/signing this team has ever made, and that says a lot.
It was two different teams playing, different circumstances, lucky OT wins, but twist it how you like. I can't rap with the blind hater type, so you do you, I'll do me amigo. Kolb's fragile head is the only knock I have on the guy.

Ain't gonna happen. Double Duece will grab the starting job in camp and never look back. His win % as a starter will remain the same and we'll be 11-5 every year through 2016.

:koolaid:
I'll root for Skelton whenever he is in there, he needs a lotta work but I like his clutch gene.

Yes, Skelton was all luck... meanwhile Kolb was a Peterson punt return and the Cowboy's freezing their own kicker from going 0-8 last year.

My stats are what actually happened, if we want to start twisting things it goes both ways.

I hope tomorrow is Kut Kolb Day...

regardless of what PM does. Dude is NOT a starting QB, especially in the offense KW wants to run. Waiting for another konkussion to happen with Kolb is more risky thant PM's neck procedures.

Let....him....go....and take the hit to the ego. Go with Skelton, Bartel and whoever else you can pick up.

Kut Kolb, please....

On the other hand, if they don't, they can kount on my komplete support as a Kardinal fan!

per Somers tweet

Via text, Kevin Kolb declined comment today on the Cardinals QB situation. He will continue to lay low and see what happens.

I like this, but it may be a little sad too.

In every respect it is best for Kolb to remain silent right now...but the dude has to be stressed out over all this.

Even if we do not get Manning I am not sure the team will stick with Kolb...those concussions are scary.....but if we end up on that road, I will throw my support behind the dude...hoping he lives up to the original hype and stays healthy.

Kolb has my support. Doubt he's stressed though. If he's that stressed he isn't going to be our QB. You have to be mentally tough, a freaking Gibraltar mentally to play QB. My feeling is that he's got a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove that last year was a fluke. He can't blame anyone but himself. He put himself in this situation. If he even has an average year last year we aren't welcoming Manning and his bag to the facility. If he's any kind of QB at all, he's DYING inside waiting to throw to Fitz and the boys and can't wait to get back out there.

Not just about everyone. Just prescient people like you.

Ahhh actually there were a lot of people who didn't think it was the right move because they didn't think Kolb could do well here, and then there were others like me who believed it shouldn't be done unless it makes the Cards substantially better than if Skelton started.

Then there are others like you who believe this coaching staff can do no wrong and will follow them blindly in any decision they make no matter how bad it is. I bet things look great from that high horse you sit on.

Last year was an "average" year for him. He was the exact same player he was in Philly, the stats are almost identical.

The "fluke" argument would hold more merit if he hadnt sucked.

my point about the stress is this.......Kolb has not played well for us in what was a very public deal...his record with Philly was not stellar either

if we get Manning and cut loose KK....he may not get another chance to prove he can be the guy...which I think would stress any athlete....the good ones never have an issue with having to prove it,...but you need the opportunity to prove it...and the NFL can get finicky about quarterbacks

I'm trying to be positive here. If you're going to screw that up with a factual analysis of the situation then we have nothing more to discuss.

:D

Just messin'. The fluke part of last year were his injuries, although I do have to say (in reference to Crazy Canuck's post) that I think he put himself into bad situations by running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Nothing will get you injured faster than that. Perhaps I'm basing too much of my hope on potential, because he was concussed with Philly also, but I have to believe, for my own sanity, that he can't suck that bad. I want the dude to succeed.

Oh I totally agree with that. Still think he'll get another shot though, there are other teams with really super-bad QB's. I should say that I want him to succeed with us, because he's with us; as soon as he's gone however, I don't really care. I love me some Cards and I want everyone on our team to do well.

I agree with you 100%. There were a lot of us who thought it was a bad deal BUT because once again the Cards had painted themselves into a corner, or if you are a Front Office homer, Leinart and Warner and DeWreck Anderson had painted the Cards into a corner, agreed that the Cards had to do something because they had no QB.

Hope is what I'm reduced to man. I have nothing else to go on, nor does anyone else. It's make or break this year for him and hope is the only thing keeping him here. That and a lack of options.

(I confess that I like Skelton more than everyone we've had since he got here)

The onside kick has pissed me off in Madden for years. That and going for 2 every single score. I actually get more enjoyment playing NCAA.

Does however remind me of the South Park episode, "Make love not Warcraft."
