The onside kick has pissed me off in Madden for years. That and going for 2 every single score. I actually get more enjoyment playing NCAA.

Does however remind me of the South Park episode, "Make love not Warcraft."

back in the day me and the fellas had to institute house rules...

Had to punt on fourth...mandatory

allowed only two fakes per game....had to be down by 14 AND inside 2 minute warning

only two go for its per game...had to be down by 14 and inside 2 minutes.

the rules didnt matter most times...I was usually up by fifty at the half anyway, lol.

Yep, my buddy's and I did that during NFL2K and had a lot of fun. Never really got a group in Madden for it though. I haven't played Madden12 in months. Funny thing is some people act like it's because going for it every 4th down, going for all 2 pt conversions, or onside-kicking every time was an advantage, because they're playing a video game rather than football. But the truth was, as you know I'm sure, the game gets so out of hand with dudes who play that way. They go for it inside their 50 every time and you're converting TD's or FG's and you're up by 3 or 4 scores before halftime. It just wasn't fun for me.

Via text, Kevin Kolb declined comment today on the Cardinals QB situation. He will continue to lay low and see what happens.

I like this, but it may be a little sad too.

In every respect it is best for Kolb to remain silent right now...but the dude has to be stressed out over all this.

Even if we do not get Manning I am not sure the team will stick with Kolb...those concussions are scary.....but if we end up on that road, I will throw my support behind the dude...hoping he lives up to the original hype and stays healthy.
meh.. boo whoo for kolb: he got twelve million to suck ass.

I love percentages...

Lets break it down.

When Kolb starts a game the possible outcomes have proven to be:

An injury: 24% Yes, he has gotten injured roughly one in every 4 starts.

A win: 29%

A Defeat: 71%

And how do his teams do when he does NOT play?

A win: 78% (yes, over the last 2 years his teams have an absurd 78% winning percentage when his worthless butt stays off the field)

A defeat: 22%

How bout those percents!

I really hope I never, ever, have to watch Kolb in a Cardinal uniform again, regardless of what happens with Manning. Kolb was arguably the stupidest trade/signing this team has ever made, and that says a lot.
5/5.

Couldn't the Cards cut Kolb and if the Manning deal doesn't happen , sign him back thus saving 7 million?

I don't think there will be a long line for Kolbs services and if there is I think we will be able to get somebody in here.

That being said, the guy doesn't have the pocket presence that Skelton does. In fact as athletic as Kolb is suppose to be, Skelton is better moving in, around and out of the pocket.

I hope not too many people bought Kolb jersey's.

Kolb is a big boy, I'm sure he'll be fine. Coming here he had know Ken Whisenhunt is very fickle, and has no loyalty... Unless you're a former, over-the-hill Steeler, or if you were drafted in the top 5.

He is a frickin' head coach in the NFL.

Seriously, if he acted how this post would require him to act, then the team would fall apart in a year.

You have to make business decisions, and lead with your head, and not your heart.

For a guy who has "no loyalty" he sure seems to give players every chance to earn a starting position, and give them the benefit of the doubt once they are there.

He fought against trading DRC at a time where DRC was not exactly proving to be worth fighting for.

He stuck with Matt Frickin' Leinart, and then was killed in the media for his loyalty.

Just a silly comment to make IMO.

How stressed can you be with all his money and youth? Hey Kevin try fling an F-105 over Hanoi with missiles and AAA flying at you and being paid $45,000 a year. That is stress. No one watching, no one cheering, no pro bowl or trophy's, you want make the headlines unless you are killed and then it is just a small article in your local paper. Dude you have it made.

if Kolb ends up being our QB, I will hope for the best and he has my full support, and I will pull for him over Skelton only because I need something to do...and Manning is a very bad man

Who ever our QB is he sure has my full support. I think it will be Skelton but if it is Kolb he will get my cheers and hopes.

I'm more comfortable with this team making terrible decisions than not making any at all. Now let's hope they take the next step down the path and start making more good decisions than terrible ones.

We have a long history of being slow decisions makers. We would never make good pilots. As our fighter went into a spin we would be trying to decide when to pull out or whether to pull out or eject. I think we would likely eject as that takes less thought.

so it was KW fault when he brought KK here? then it's KW fault again getting rid of him if it happens !!!

I very much doubt Whiz made the final decision to bring in Kolb. That decision has all the earmarks of a Bidwill final decision. Whiz would surely have been asked his thoughts unless we are leaderless. Graves probably had a few words to offer but in the end Mr Bidwill Jr had to be the final decision maker. This way Mr. Bidwill has an out if Kolb fails as he did ask for opinions when he knew all along what he was going to do. They almost had me convinced Kolb was a superstar in the making but I kept going back to his actual accomplishments and wondered why Washington wold give up a QBOTF when they needed one themselves.

Tebow has also gone dead silent since this has all transpired. If both the
Broncos and Cards miss, expect both Tebow and Kolb to come out and speak publicly.

No matter what happens I do not expect Tebow to come out with any accusations or bad words. This kid seems to have been raised right and has his head on straight. If we could give Kolb the Tebow heart and maybe the arm we might have a QB. Tebow is not going to run backwards but is going to run over someone and give a concussion rather than take one.
