Kolb or Skelton are good character guys, I would not expect any of them to act any differently. There professional character does not have flaws, it's their game where the problems come forth. I like both of them, and hope I can like one of their play before the end of this season. If one of them was a total character idiot, taking a side would be so much easier LOL

lol, well put. It's rough picking one or the other. I think Kolb has a better skill-set, Skelton is tougher, and his size seems like an advantage (but size isn't everything, just ask Drew Brees). And they both get through their interviews well. I honestly can't say there's a single person on the Cards that I could say I dislike on a personal level, which speaks a lot for the organization and the integrity they expect

Skelton being named the starter is probably a good thing for Kolb. If he was named the starter for week one, he would face boos from disgruntled people in the stands with the constant chants for Skelton to play.

Now he must wait to get his chance. If Skelton falters, Kolb will be given the chance to be the savior again. If Skelton succeeds he gets paid good money to hold a clip board for a year. Obviously it's not what Kolb envisioned when he signed his deal here but it is what it is. He had his oppertunity to win the job but failed to seize the day.

Fully agree. The last players that I didn't like who they were as people were Porter and DRC. Porter had the issue with jumping whatshisface at the casino and DRC was just an immature brat.

I don't think so

I don't think so - Skelton has a certain fortitude about him. I think He will choke it! It will be a matter of patients for us and the staff.

We will see Kolb at some point in the season.

starter

Matty was the starter - Didn't need to see him play because Whiz knew what he had in him. So he wanted to see the other guys-So out right destroyed DA at every QB skill set on extremely limited play time.

And that is how he conducted himself- I remember it well. He went on KTAR and said he did not undertand the decision - Whiz came out and said he had an open door policy - belittled and cut him.

Quite the departure from the way Matty conducted himself... and all he had to do was beat out SCUD!

Wait, so you don't think Kolb will get into the game this year because Skelton will choke?

How are the fans and coaches going to need (patience?) if Skelton is doing well? If he isn't doing well, how is Kolb not going to get a chance?

Choke it

grab the oppurtunity by the throat and choke it- as in a good thing. Skelton is a developing QB he aint there yet- He came from Fordham and has played as a back up so far in the NFL.

Patients-This staff has no regard for the well being of a young QB- They kill them repeatedly - manufacturing adversity is not the way to build confidence and team chemistry- with Leinart- DA- Hall- Bartell- or Skelton.
Skelton is 2 seasons away from being a fullly developed NFL QB- He may be 75-80% and that last 10% takes a full year and a playoffs.

Kurt Warner was fully developed when he got in, Super winner and everything!

The way this OL is set up John is going to get blown up and injured at some point. Then Kolb is going to come in and get blown up too. Then we will have Lindsanity

It would not surprise me whatsoever that the decision to go with John was influenced by the OL. Maybe they figure that he'll last longer behind that sieve than Kevin would. That being the case Skelton can hang in there, get beat up, and they still have KK to turn to. Crazy idea I know
