Never mind of that. I still don't think KT can do very much against Bynum and Shaq. Maybe they would put Duncan on Bynum, let KT deal with Gasol?

They paid the price by losing Barry and his 43% 3p. If the Sonics really waive Barry, we should pick him up ASAP!

Barry can't sign back to Spurs within 30 days after waiver, league rule is, any player signed after March.1 is not going to be in playoff roster of 12.

I don't think the deal was done with the Suns in my mind. I think it is to match up against the enormous Laker frontline.

I also think the Spurs believed Barry was expendable, given that Udoka can also shoot the three and plays much better D. Barry might very well never be the same after the two repetitive injuries.

But who knows. Mavs fans are hoping the Mavs pick him up too. Barry just might have become the most overhyped player not yet available, haha. We don't even know if Seattle will let him go. He was a long term Sonic before, and he knows PJ and Presti pretty well, so they might just keep him.

Udoka is doing 32% for 3p so far this season, 11% behind Barry. That's a huge margine.

They definitely do it for the Lakers, Bynum and Gasol duo is too hard to handle for their current front line. But I do think they also have us in mind. Duncan and Shaq can pretty much cancel each other out. They might want KT to use his experience in Phoenix to contain Amare.

Udoka hit a huge dry spell three weeks ago where he had 0 ppg. He appears to be back to normal now. He's a career 38% three point shooter. Given that Damon Stoudamire is also a near 40% three point shooter, I would say they have enough three point shooters (Horry [apparently playing ok in the last few games], Finley, Udoka, Stoudamire, Bonner, Bowen). Remember, Barry has been out for well over a month now, and they have gone 6-3 on their road trip without him (where Finley hit some clutch threes to bring them into the game). He was expendable. More than him, they needed Parker back (which is scary, considering they have that record while being unhealthy; the West is crazy this year and I love it!).

Nobody is containing Amare. Don't even joke like that. That's like saying Shaq can still contain Duncan. They cancel each other out.

Off-topic: Anyone think NO could be a surprise out of the west given how MVP-like Paul looks? <-- I mean to win the conference finals? Did anyone catch his game against the Mavs? I am a Paul believer now, haha.

unfortunately for the Spurs, the Lakers are one team that Kurt is pretty useless against. Maybe he can hang with Gasol, but Bynum pretty much killed him.

He is better at guarding guys like Duncan and Shaq, but good luck with Amare.

So how smart is the Seattle GM?

He gets three first round picks for paying Kurt Thomas' average salary for one season.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm sure Cupcake will get GM of the year, but this might be the best deal of the year.
