No need to explain. Just my opinion. He's an average QB at best.

Last season was his first subpar season. Before that I'd say his numbers are anything but average. Not to mention he's won 2 Super Bowls. Not too many "average" QB's have won 2 SB's.

You left out 2 Super Bowl championships where he was MVP in both games. You hate Eli Manning. I get that but if you consider him simply an average QB you're letting your bias get in the way. I wish we had a QB as average as he's been.

Robert Horry won 7 NBA championships. Doesn't make him HOF.

He is 1st ballot HOF if you ask me, based solely what he did in STL.

You can't compare Horry (a role player) to a QB who is a 3 time Pro-Bowler, lit up the post-season twice in the Super Bowl runs, is 2 time Super Bowl MVP and has led the Giants to the playoffs 5 times.

Robert Horry was a cog in a machine. Basketball is a different game than football and a QB is a pretty unique position. Teams live and die by their QB with few exceptions. The funny thing is that this thread is about KW's numbers automatically qualifying him when his numbers are not all that dissimilar from EM's.

Don't hate him, just don't think he's anything special.

Eli Manning is a weird case. He's Clark Kent in the regular season and then the playoffs start and he steps into a phone booth and changes into Superman.

Warner stats from the midpoint of 2007 season through 2009 not counting playoff games.

939-1,420 for 10,698 yards with 77 Touchdowns and 40 interceptions.
He averaged 568 passes a season. 35.5 per game. No wonder he retired. His arm was falling off.

well on the dark side- you add Warner's INT's and fumbles together and he is right up there with Terry Bradshaw in turnovers. Yes Warner belongs in the HOF for his top performances, and records, but he did bounce around a lot and was not consistent throughout his career.

He may not be a SB winner if the Titans wasn't 1 and 1/2 yards short. But they were! So I don't think Kurt is 1st ballot but he'll get in there eventually. Probably after Peyton and Eli Manning.

Short of TYING the game. Not winning it. Just the facts please :)

On topic: Kurt needs to get in. He stirred the drink for two different franchises desperate for success.

You might want to check your facts. For starters, the Titans were 1 1/2 yards short so you can dispense with the 'what if's'. Also, even if they score, they tie the game at best but they did not so KW is a hall of famer. Look, I realize you toss off to Leinart but Warner is a hall of famer on a slam dunk. His numbers alone prove it.
Oops i should've read the whole thread. Nice job clarifying
To be fair to THESMEL, that is a common misconception about SB34.
