Give me a break. There is absolutely no reason for beanie not getting a snap in the game today. That was a ******** move by whiz. He once again tries a power play to horrible results. He is an idiot and cannot wait until he is gone.

So what has Beanie done this season to merit getting carries after making a seemingly selfish comment about leaving the team?

Sorry, nobody is above the team....including the underachieving, fumbling, oft injured Beanie.

No reason? He wants to audition for the other 31 teams? Not a BS move by Whis, it was a move that any man with cajones would make. Beanie forced this move, it is all on him.

Thanks TJ and AZ enough said! Cliff is clueless.

I'm one of the guys who isn't opposed to Whiz staying around. However, sometimes I wonder if Whiz has the ability to reach different people of different personalities and motivate them. That said, maybe he just doesn't bother with the guys who don't have strong enough character to begin with. I honestly don't know the answer.

I seem to remember one of Beanie's former teammates (Laurinaitis maybe?) alluding to the fact that Beanie was coddled and protected at OSU. I also remember that Beanie had a really hard time adjusting to life away from home his first year. Does Whiz have the ability to take these kind of guys and turn them into men, or is it not his responsibility to do so? I tend to skew toward the latter, but was curious as to if you view that as part of an NFL head coaches responsibilities or not?

1) I don't believe that's true. There's been no mutiny from the players. Who has said Whiz does that? Fans who aren't in the locker room or the team meetings or within 500 yards of the facility.

2) On the off-chance it is true Beanie was dumber then dirt to shoot off his mouth after last week's game. He fumbles, they score and Beanie thinks saying he's "auditioning" is a wise thing to say when he's got a vindictive coach? It says more about Beanie's lack of smarts as a player than anything else.

One week to the off season. He didn't produce worth a shucks this season. He should have kept his mouth shut and then he'd have made a contribution in what will, no doubt, be his last game as a Cardinal.

:yeahthat:

Warner loved Whiz.

Actually, he doesn't.

Whiz was ready to pick Leinart as his starter until Leinart's meltdown in the Raider pre-season game.

Whiz refused to upgrade the offensive line to protect Warner. That is why Warner retired.

Whiz did not pressure the FO to keep and resign Warner after the SB and Warner's contract expired.

Whiz tells everyone that he and his system were the reasons why the Cards went to the SB and that Warner only played his role and was just a piece in the system that worked to perfection to get there. All that BS fell apart as soon as Warner left, didn't it? Ever since Warner left, we have seen how well Whiz run this team and selects and develops his players.

Instead of making winning games his primary focus, Whiz likes to play "put the dissenting player in the doghouse."

Except for his selection of Warner as his starter (after Leinart's meltdown forced him to pick Warner) and his hiring of Horton, Whiz has been a total bust!

If the Cards keep Whiz, you can bet the Cards will just have another year like any of their years since Warner retired. Whiz will make that happen as he just can't help himself from torching players who express dissenting opinions to Whiz's imagined wisdom and greatness.

Yes there is. It's a TEAM sport, the ultimate one, and Wells had to think of himself first.

Whiz f'ed this season up big time. But, if benching Wells is the decision he goes out on, it was on a high note. Way to go Whis!

And I'm quite sure you have sources/links to back this all up.....

Whis may have done a lot of things wrong in the past few years, but sitting Beanie is definitely not one of them! If Beanie wanted to "audition for 31 other teams", his agent should have made the necessary travel arrangements!

Great stuff so far. Says you can't have a coach that puts players in the doghouse if it goes against winning. Said you can bench guys for fumbling if it is an epidemic, then pointed out that Beanie Wells has 1 fumble on the season. Not a very ringing endorsement by Kwamie. Tune in to KTAR great stuff.

yEAH, I said in an earlier thread that Whiz benching Wells for a whole game on 1 fumble was childish. Especially since he really gave a good performance the week before. One of the two is definately on the way out next yr.

Whiz hasen't been able to esbablish any kind of run game here. He needs to answer for it.

Is this a boy's club or a professional sports team? Are we not supposed to try to win the game? If you really believe that William Powell or Larod or any player currently on this team is a better running back than Beanie Wells, then you are on some serious dope.

That move was bush league of the highest order. Who cares what the hell Beanie said. You play to win the game and worry about that other crap later. That is why Whiz is a mediocre head coach. He is full of crap. The players have finally figured it out. I hope Mike has figured it out as well. Whiz personally torpedoed the season multiple times.

Pulling Skelton in the game against Atlanta and playing a clearly overmatched Lindley. Starting Lindley on the ROAD in New York against the Jets. Benching Beanie. Calling Code Fold and then fining one of your best players six figures because he didn't follow you to certain failure?

Whiz is shooting blanks. He is the toothless wonder. If he can't get fired this year... He should NEVER be fired.

Beanie is hardly the poster child for Whis' shortcomings as an NFL head coach. That was one of the most asinine statements I've heard about 'auditioning for 31 teams.'

Whis has made his share of mistakes with player relations {see Edgerin James in the Super Bowl year}, but the way he handled Beanie Wells in the last 8 days is most definitely not one of them.

Yessir. I really enjoyed watching William Powell run for 2 yards total in the second half and the 49ers dropping 7 into coverage because they had no respect for our run game at all.

I enjoy your post - I soak my head quite often don't take it personally- I consider it a rite of passage!

OK Good to know. We're cool then.

I just didn't want to be the cause of you having to call 911 with chest pain and shortness of breath, because today is going to be one looooog day.

I didn't miss seeing Beanie Wells stumbling and fumbling and bumbling around for the umpteenth time. Cardinal running backs are like Cardinal quarterbacks. Turnover prone with minimal talent and ability.

I highly doubt that sitting Beanie for shooting off his mouth cost us the game against the 49ers. The running game in the first half was very good and showed good game planning and execution.

What benching Beanie did do was show that Whiz will hold true to his ideals and not accept players shooting off their mouths to the media and show a me first attitude.

How many examples do we have of Card players saying or doing the wrong thing publicly? I can think of DD and now Beanie. We all know DD is a loose cannon so I actually am impressed with how rarely he does questionable stuff.

I think Whiz has to be given some credit for how this team doesn't get negative headlines for players actions when not on the field of play.

Dems rules!!!!

38 yards in the first quarter. 14 yards for the rest of the game. Not too good.

Not sure why we quit running it

Because they're the Cardinals and running the football is not something they do.

32nd in rushing attempts 4 times in 7 seasons. 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010.
