Wow, what a great, great win. Very satisfying win for us. We pretty much dominated the Lakers in the 2nd half.

The Suns needed a statement game--was this it? I don't think we'll know until Thursday night. Normally when we have a huge win like this, we kinda lay an egg the next game, which is usually against a lesser opponent.

This time, though, we're facing a team just as formidable as the Lakers. IF we somehow defeat the Celtics, then I would definitely feel safe saying that tonight was a statement game. Until then, gotta reserve judgment.

But it sure was fun watching us dismantle the Lakers. God, I hate that team, with their player who can't miss and their WNBA reject, and what the hell was that thing on Adam Morrison's face? :D

Impressive win. We need our bench to play like this every game, they are definitely capable of it. Strong games from Nash and Frye (each with a double-double), Amare, Dudley and Dragic. But J-Rich with another disappearing act, finishing with only 4 points and 2 rebounds in 26 minutes. We need more from him regardless of who he happens to be guarding.

Just an awesome game by the Suns bench. Dudley and Dragic were outstanding. If only Lopez could play this well for the rest of the season, he could really help the Suns. I dare not put too much hope in Lopez but I still have to ask, what if?

Physically I do not see why he could not make a modest contribution every night. However, most nights Lopez really frustrates me.

The difference is that the team went to Amare or had to go to him in this game. In the GS game, the team thought they could run with the young legs of GS and ignore Amare, for most of the game. As I said, the team goes as Amare goes. Not because he were the best player which he is not. Nash is. But Nash has the ball in his hands all the time. How much he gets Amare involved and motivated will determine how far this team goes. It's simple. In the first half, Amare was the only starter to score any basket.

Also, we won this game by mostly sticking to man without over double teaming. Kobe got his pts but without the 7-8 assists as in our losses. Fischer, Farmar, Odom are not much of a factor, unlike in earlier games. Actually, Amare and Frye defended Bynum and Gasol well enough for them to have an only limited role. That's one main reason we were in the game. The other was that our bench played huge, particularly Robin as the huge surprise plus the consistent play by Dudley.

Good win Suns fans. Not having Artest really hurts against your squad, as it exposes our perimeter defense terribly. If you are hot, and we don't have Ron, there is no way we can stop you...outside of Ron and Kobe, our perimeter D blows chunks. We could get away with it if you guys were off, but you killed us on the three ball.

Fisher had a terrible, terrible game, and some idiotic plays like his shove of Nash. I love the guy, but damn if I don't want him to sit and let Shannon play more.

I got to watch this from a comfy suite at half court though, so at least there was that.

Ron will be back for our next meeting; your three ball won't come so easily then. :)

Donald, on a completely different tangent, PLEASE tell me you aren't enamoured with your WNBA cast-off? I mean, he's AWFUL. Everytime he steps on the court I hear "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".

You know who I mean. ;)

Did you watch the Warriors game? The Suns didn't ignore Stoudemire; he just flat out sucked.

I know he sucked. But it's typical we always want to match speed with GSW and fail. For some reason, Amare didn't seem have energy or much interest in that style of game. When Nash thought to seek him again in the 4th, it's too late, because we got the Warriors on their best game already that lasted long enough for them to beat the C's even.:D

I reiterate my observation. The team goes as far as Amare goes. As the strategist and general, Nash gotta make that sure, instead playing his best running ball but to lose in the end.

Who's Ammo? Yes, I meant Sasha... He'd be a damn fine player in the WNBA. :D

LOL.

Ammo = Morrison.

I like Sasha, but he's not long for this team. He grates on me, and I like him. His shot disappeared, and he loves to foul about 70 feet from the basket. Phil might have him killed, since he's untradeable.

The biggest key to me is that the Laker's gameplan against Nash completely changed. Normally they switch it and leave Odom on Nash and it gives us a ton of problems. Didn't see much of that if at all last night.

I was shocked at Lopez. He had an amazing game for him. 2nd this season he really impressed me vs. 7 or 8 he didn't. If he can be consistent, this is a much better team.

We also missed Barbosa terribly. Not that he is contributing all that much, but he brings a different element to the 2nd team that gets bogged down without him.
