The Lakers do not own their first round pick in this draft.

I know they are not tanking, but they will be bad and we need to be wrose than them.

They have actually nba vet players that should keep them better, even though i like our young guys way more.

I didn't see the first half, but I admit Bender looked okay in the second. The turnaround shot was remarkable, but I hope that doesn't become one of his primary weapons, because no one in the world would be able to make that shot consistently.

I couldn't assess Bender's defense because (at least in the second half) he was usually on the floor with Len, who got lost so consistently that the entire team was in scramble mode. Bender stopped Randle once in the low post, but a couple of other times Randle beat him easily.

I'm surprised at the hand-wringing over Jackson. We knew he was extremely raw, right? I would have preferred Tatum, but he was already off the board. It's too soon to get a sense of what Jackson is or can be.

Bender showed some more offensive moves other than a 3pt shot. His lefty lay in and the turn around fade.

Is it me or does the game seem too fast for Ulis now that's he's logging more minutes? He made some slow passes and ill advised ones too. He made some defensive lapses too. Maybe it was the core of players he's playing with now. Not sure but we definitely need a starting pg.

Jackson needs to find his game, whether its in transition, half court etc. He's trying to do too much at times. I like his attacking but he needs to finish.

James was awful. Glad he was pulled.

Coach did an interesting move in that he pulled the pg and let Booker run the show. This also led to an interesting substitution when he put in Jackson for Ulis. Seemed like the better choice would have to put Bender in for Ulis.

I dont get hand wringing over jackson either, we knew he cant shoot. What i wanted to see his rookie year was how fast he looks in the nba, and he is very fast flying up the court, no problem getting by the first defender.

IF over the course of his career he devolps a shot, he will be a great player. He is the same age as amare his rookie year, and i am higher on jackson as a rookie than i was on amare, and i was very high on amare.

And Bender has passing skills as he played PG when he was younger.

I think Ulis has lost confidence in his shot and his game.

Although the same can be said of Ball.

You wont see me wringing my hands over ball either, i think he'll be very good as well. I just think jackson's freakish athleticism gives him a higher upside. I think fultz will be very good as well/

Listening to prisoner of the moment people like bill simmons claiming tatum is clearly the best player after ten games is hilarious. He's a great shooter we knew he was most nba ready.

Simply saying Jackson looked awful tonight isn't wringing hands about him. It's just a statement about the game.

I still have high hopes for him, but man, he got a lot of work to do!

I'm just happy we keep Ball in check. I didn't want him going off on us again. He's had his two best games against Bledsoe interestingly enough.

Nice game by Bender and Chriss. Keep working, you busts! Bender active on offence and Chriss on defence. Very cool.

Randle should shut it. He's on the bench for a reason. Only talk when you're on the court.

I missed the game, what happened with Booker? I mean I gather from here that there was some confrontation but was there a fight?

There was no fight but there were some words exchanged between Devin Booker and the Lakers bench.

A Lakers coach reportedly said something to Booker which set off a verbal exchange. The coach was not identified. John Gambadoro thought it was Brian Shaw but Scott Bordow said it was not him.

Below is a snippet and a link to an article about it.

After the game, Booker only said he was directing his comments toward a coach and didn't go into details, per Scott Bordow of AZCentral.com:

"It was one of the coaches," Booker said, adding that it wasn’t head coach Luke Walton or assistants Brian Shaw or Miles Simon. "I don’t know who it was."

Clear as mud. :p

Bill Simmons is a Celtic Die Hard. Of course he thinks Channing Tatum is the best.

Kuzma and Smith should be in the discussion. But it's very close at this point.
