Rice did pretty good against old man time. Larry's conditioning is very similar. He COULD play for another 4-5 years. But knowing how Larry is, he will likely play one, maybe 2 years and hang it up and go have fun 100% of the time. He is set financially for life and still has his health. He will never play long enough to touch Rice's records but he be all time #2 and may want to put some room between him and the guys trying to catch him.
Completely agree. Depending on how the team is looking, I could see him taking a cut just to be a part of something.
He won't have to take a "cut" since he is not under contract next year (I believe). But he may agree to a team friendly contract, especially since he has made many huge paydays.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Agree to play for a lot less (in essence taking a cut in pay) just to extend his Cards' career.

Fitz is my favorite Cardinal of all time but he has always been about the $$$$ so I doubt he starts now or next year or the year after that. Hope I'm wrong and he finally gives us a hometown discount but I'm not betting on it.

Me either, but he may want a little separation between himself and the # 3 position.

Depends on what he sees in Rosen. It wouldn’t surprise me if he retires next year or plays 3-4 more seasons.

I agree with this

I think his willingness to stay on the cards beyond this year will be influenced by how the QB position is looking

If Rosen can come in and start the final 6 to 8 games and look pretty good, that will help

Larry deserves a championship. I hope we can make another push with Rosen and our defense.

If Rosen ends up the real deal and the Cards are good again, I can definitely see Fitz lacing 'em up a couple years after this one.

I was coming out of a car wash in Sherman Oaks, CA today and spotted a nice black Audi Coop with CA license plate : FITZG11 with an AZ Cardinals frame around it.

I wonder if its Larry's car. I wanted to go back and see if he was there, but I was late for an appointment. Anyone know if he's in LA area today?

I wouldn't think he would have his name & number on his plates but I could be wrong.

Does he own property in California?

I can't see him playing beyond this season unless we surprise, gel, and Rosen looks like an immediate Super Bowl contender ala Carson Wentz.
