Well, Kolb was doing a pretty poor job of it BEFORE he got injured last year, under the same trying conditions that Smith and Hasselback had to endure.

Based on last years results you are correct and I'm wrong. If Kolb stays fairly healthy this year then I expect he will out perform the other two.

Honestly who cares what Alex Smith could have done here. And Hassleback was on record saying he did not want to play here. Kolb and Skelton are our QB's. Kolb was moving the ball quite well at end of Cowboys game. Like he finally was getting it. Only to get injured 2 plays into the next game. So I like the potential of this year. Skelton showed he could step in himself. Either way to get back to post at hand. I don't see how a true #2 WR could not help the QB's and this team. Floyd could open up fitz. The big thing is he's physical and can get himself open as well. Which gives another option to our QBs. If the Cards are drafting BPA. Then Floyd could be that guy. As long as the player can contribute I am happy. I agree he could be that guy. Warner has stated as did others. The Cards haven't a true #2 WR. Floyd can give us that and more.

While I'd be very happy with Floyd, but if either (or both) DeCastro or Reiff are available along with Floyd I don't think we'd take Floyd. I'm basing that on Free Agency. In FA there were quite a few WR's on the list and we only chased one of them(reportedly), but he signed with the Jets. We did address the OL and that told me that the OL is a higher priority, and since all three (DeCastro, Reiff and Floyd) have similar grades, I'm guessing we take one of the OL guys, even if we trade back a few spots.

You might be right about OL being priority during offseason. But the case could be made so if a player like Floyd dropped to them in the draft they could then have the option to draft outside OL.

I wonder if Fitz would feel the same if the Cardinals drafted Blackmon? My guess is he would.
Unless there's additional info, we don't know what Fitz actually said (or meant).

Reading Peter King's piece, he said something to the effect that "Larry Fitzgerald left no question that he wanted the Cardinals to draft Floyd."

We don't know the context in which Larry's comment was made. Was the question: "So who would you like the Cards to draft?" Or was it: "How would you feel if the Cards wanted Floyd?" Or was it: "if you could draft anyone available (including Luck or RG3, who would you pick?" Or was it: "Which one? Floyd or Blackmon?" Or was it a 2 or 3-parter like (1) How important is it to bring in a good #2 receiver?" (I'm for it). (2) "what about Floyd?" (That would be good).

And was it a serious straightforward queston or was it "C'mon Larry. How do you really feel about another WR? You'd love to have them draft Floyd, wouldn'tcha. Huh? Huh?"

I would bet this was the question. And of course Fitz would answer that he'd be happy or whatever to have Floyd on the team. Of course that gets changed by the sportswriter to "Fitz wants Floyd in Arizona"
