In watching the Sunday Sports I heard on 2 different stations interview a dejected Hall of Famer under his breath saying "road game" referring to today's meltdown.

I feel for Larry a bunch as he is and has been an incredible person and player in this very Valley of the Sun. I also feel for Micheal B as he has put soooooooo much into turning a perineal losing franchise into a winner and on the map this past decade or so.

The hardest part is making some bold decisions only three games into a season and making some HUGE changes for the good. Like I said on a previous post (thread)....everything Micheal B (and Larry) has worked for is at risk under this current coaching regime.

Phoenix has and will always have new people moving here. The Cardinals have won over a lot of NFL football fans under Michael B.

What will they do now???

My hope is they can somehow someway keep it up and fix it. Like fast...before losing everything they've built. Otherwise...the opposing teams fans will once again be the ones buying tickets and OUR TEAM and State Pride will show bad. Let's get this straight Michael B!!!!! Let's get this nipped in the butt this week!!!!

It wont change till several generations down the road, especially when we are bad.

It's just a fact of life in Arizona. There are only a few of us who were born here and swear allegiance to only one team. The only way to cure this sickness of opposing team fans is to win 2 or 3 superbowls.

Get over it Larry. I love you man, but you know how it is here. You guys got destroyed in games 1 and 2 then played the bears, did you expect a red sea? Cmon man.

I would have expected a Red Sea (like usual) even if we were 0-2 but showed well in the 2 losses. Impossible to keep a fanbase (on the west coast) with the ineptitude we saw from the first 2 games.

I don't think I've ever seen him so dejected. Wouldn't be surprised if Michael B came to talk to Larry tomorrow about what he thinks needs to be done this week.

Larry's been here 15 seasons now. It's always like this against Dallas, Green Bay, Minnesota, and Chicago.

Just trade him. Let him play out his final season with a winner and a chance at a ring. The Cardinals owe him that. Cuz this is a poo show that isn't going to improve anytime soon.

We've got an alcoholic GM, a stubborn HC who puts his personal bias above what is best for the team and an OC who cant keep a job and Dairy Queen much less an NFL team.

Larry, you dont owe us a thing. Demand a trade and go win a ring.

I think Larry Fitzgerald has done enough for this franchise, and should get traded to a contender. Its win, win.

As for not being happy with the fans who showed up? Well, to be honest I watched most of the game while doing chores. While I was happy to have gotten a somewhat competitive game, this version of the Cardinals is quite boring, and hard to get behind.

I don't think this is what Fitz envisioned when he signed up for the 2018 season. I think he would have opted for retirement had he known it would be this bad. I agree trade Larry to a contender who needs a good possession receiver to compliment or finish their WR corps. I don't feel bad for Bidwill however as he was the one making the decisions on a new HC. Either Wilks sold Bidwill a bill of goods or Bidwill needs to re-look at his criteria for a HC.

Maybe trade Larry to the Jags then he and Calais can win a ring together. This is Larry's last year as a Card , either he retires or gets traded and I don't blame him if he does either

Not sure if intentional - and I normally don't call out spelling - but way too apropos! Kudos.

1-Larry doesn't want to be traded.
2-This will not change until the Cardinals establish a long established environment of winning. Our history is that of a losing/dysfunctional franchise. 8 years of good to decent football doesn't impact that at all.

What did anyone expect when they scored 6 points in 2 games? To top that off, a lot of sports fans in the valley simply have given up on AZ sports because of the absolute tank job the Dbacks pulled. People have moved on to other entertainment - and understandably so. This team - at the very least Keim and Wilkes - deserved what they got as far as the crowd yesterday.

Not true, I was a diehard Vikings fan when the cardinals moved here, within 5 years realized it was crazy rooting against my home team for state I no longer lived in.

Bortles isn't winning Jacksonville a SB. I'm sure Fitz would rather catch passes from Rosen.

It's just the transplant nature of the West coast teams and this franchise in particular being both a transplant as well as currently not very good in my opinion that causes all this.

You really can't blame the fans they're just selling their tickets to the opposing teams fans. It's just how it is and I used to be shocked by it but it makes sense I'd do it too given the circumstances.

It's why most players are no longer loyal to a team their whole careers because the fans are only so loyal themselves. If the fans were that loyal then I'd see more merit in him staying but gotta give him props for staying on one team. I feel for him but at this point if he doesn't want to be traded there isn't anything that is magically going to make this team win a SB for a few years, again just my opinion.

Still feeling sorry for Fitz is so damn tiring & lame.

Maybe he just wasn’t meant to win a ring like other greats such as Moss, Owens, LT21, Urlacher, Dawkins, AP, etc.

Send him home to Minny, they are a fun to team to watch (except yesterday..) I bet he’d take a trade there in a heartbeat. They have going on now what we had during the BA run

People say they hate the heat, but there so many people moving into Arizona because of heat. We also have snowbirds, that are still loving their home team that are here all winter long. The stadium will never be like Detriot's(went there a few years ago and saw all blue. Barely any red) because no one wants to move to Detroit. It sucks to see 50% of the other team's fans, but its not going to change, even if the Cards win Super Bowls. Its what Arizona is, a transplant state and it won't change for a long time.

Why would anybody feel sorry for Fitz in his $12 million salary? The highest paid total salary by far than anybody in franchise history and lives a life most of us could only dream about??

I don’t... But it sure helps his lifestyle. And I dont think a few extra victories on sunday is the key either. I’m betting his family and his kids make him happier than his job. Silly to feel sorry for him.
