Looking at his stats is not like we are hurting at depth at the wing position even with book out.

Oubre is more than Ariza as the Suns have an option to keep him as a RFA. Maybe the Suns decide to keep him.

What joke... I've not read up on the particulars, but I suspect this is what you get when your GM has less experience than someone playing franchise mode in NBA2k for a few years.

Read the particulars, we may actually be innocent on this one.

Tonight is the second best night of the season. The first being game 1 when we whupped the Mavs and had fleeting thoughts of grandeur. Tonight for much different reasons.

Gambo coming off looking salty. He should’ve cut off the tweet after the medical part.

Maybe with reason. He seems to have reestablished his inside connections with the Suns.

Now you've lost me as that's exactly my point. The "no trade to LA command" just came down as far as I know. The difficulty in LA finding a 3rd team to deal with has been known for awhile. So when Sarver said, anywhere but Laker land, he was already aware there was no real value in dealing with LA.

Gotcha. I just hope Sarver wasn’t crossing off LA out of spite.

Actually, in addition to the humorous moments as I watched this unfold live on TV and our forum, I'm actually feeling pretty good about the end result (the end, so far). I was mystified and mortified when I thought we were trading for 3 lousy shooting guards so even no deal is a huge improvement over that one.

Sure, drink another one. When you sober up read this thread and see everyone who bashed the trade and then bashed Jones once the deal was killed.

This is completely out of line. You either need to apologize or take a break

If we hold onto him a bit longer we may find ourselves a better deal. But in all honesty the truth is, no better deal seemed available. Maybe we need to wait for an injury to a contender.

Dillon Brooks is pretty good...Been injured this year, but put up 11ppg in his rookie year and has flashed some real potential.

Yeah, I think that's why teams tend to hang onto players until the trade deadline, just waiting for a team's needs to be fully exposed.

Oubre wouldn’t be worth spending cap space needed to keep him as RFA.

Maybe not for the Wizards but perhaps the Suns?

Lots of options over the summer including a sign and trade with Oubre.

I have been coming to this conclusion when all these reported trades didn't seem to make sense. When you see a trade that makes sense, you have the aha feeling, not the huh feeling?

So Memphis thought they would be getting Oubre for Marshon Brooks and Wayne Selden. Marshon was a late season free agent signing for them last year and Selden appears to be nothing more than bench fodder.

Watching the Nuggets game on ESPN...They just brought up the story and made fun of the Suns and only the Suns.

It doesn't make sense. They may not be welcome trade partners in the future.

As did many of us here and everywhere else on the internet. It was an easy conclusion to jump to. It would be nice if the professionals in the business were better than us in this regard but they aren't.

Perhaps the problem is NO ONE has said, intimated or implied ANYTHING like the above but you keep making fake arguments up from thin air and then call people ******** or accuse them of being drunk when they point out that you keep making crap up to throw at people who you disagree with. You're creating straw man arguments left and right and you don't have to be drunk to see that, but maybe you have to be drunk to keep making them.

You dont think suns fans on this board (and Twitter) are overrating Trevor Ariza's value a tad?

Of course they are. That’s what they do. But no one ever said anything about an all star level player.
