Suns are the least credible. Regardless of who is in the wrong they will get the blame, and deservedly so.

Deservedly so because of history or just the way it went down? We are getting blasted for this but from what I've seen, we are the most innocent of the 3 organizations. Right now, Washington is pissed at Memphis and vice versa, neither of them are blaming us.

Someone explain how a 3-way deal was agreed upon without two of the teams speaking to eachother...

Watching the Nuggets game on ESPN...They just brought up the story and made fun of the Suns and only the Suns.
Perception is reality. What someone believes may, or may not, be true.

But that they believe it is reality.

Especially when Robert Sarver is involved. :(

What do you expect in the return for Ariza?
Pretty much what the rumor was originally. A mid level vet with limited upside (rivers) at the pg position, a young guy with some potential (Dillon brooks), and a filler vet. That’s why I wasn’t shocked or mad at the deal. Made sense.

someone's CYA.

I don't think so. My guess is that we inquired about Dillon Brooks and after reviewing the medical data we told Washington that he was our target in return for Ariza. That put it into the Wizards camp to find a deal that the Grizzlies would accept. I don't know what caused the confusion between those two organizations but that appears to be where the ball was dropped as they are each pointing fingers at the other (unofficially anyway). I think we're innocent for the most part in this foul-up but we'll still end up looking just as foolish as if we had screwed it up all on our own.

Is there anything about the suns org that would make you give them the benefit of the doubt? The most plausible explanation is the suns agreed to a trade without confirming all of the players in the trade with all of the parties. And I think that is an absurd way for a professional sports team to operate.

Yup. I was fine with the trade for Dillon Brooks who is still out injured.

Except those are not the facts being reported.

Not at all. But having read everything that's come out, it appears that Washington insists that Memphis agreed to send Dillon in the trade and Washington was who we were dealing with. Washington had to make the deal with Memphis because it's their player that's going there, we can't exactly negotiate to trade Oubre to the Grizzlies. And we did confirm the names prior to submitting a trade and prior to announcing it to the public, hence the reason it was cancelled before it could even be done. Woj got the info somehow, as he always does, and reported it ahead of the official announcement but that's not on us.

here comes poop head again, making up arguments that no one here has said, for reasons beyond me.

and now, I'm sure you will call me a ******** again for pointing that out.

Sure, drink another one. When you sober up read this thread and see everyone who bashed the trade and then bashed Jones once the deal was killed.

How about putting each other on ignore. Not hard to do...

The Suns have made themselves an easy target for the media, and regardless of who actually is at fault the media will just assign blame to the team with a track record of dysfunction. The only thing that has separated the Suns from the Kings is in recent years is that the Suns weren't getting turned down by top draft picks working out for them, though I won't be surprised if that starts happening.
