in the offseason,

if the suns would trade this two,
who would you like in return?
please be realistic.

Larry Hughes. I'd imagine the Bulls might be interested in that deal. Hughes has played pretty well for them, and was great when he played on running teams early in his career, so I don't think he's as awful as he was in Cleveland.

But more to the point, his contract expires in the summer of 2010, along with Shaq, Nash, Bell. We'd have Amare, a few guys on rookie contracts, and about $35 million in cap space, when Lebron and Deron Williams and Bosh and Boozer and others are set to become free agents.

Nobody in their right mind is going to take Diaw. Barbosa has a good contract, but his value has gone down since last year. They have to find a way get a real point guard.

We should look to Toronto. They've got two in T.J.Ford & Jose Calderon. I think Calderon could run this offense nicely.
I don't see the Raptors keeping both next year.

From what I've read, the Raptors would prefer to keep Calderon, and Ford only wants to be a starter.

Yeah. Ford has been starting for weeks though. Calderon was playing as well as anybody including Nash/CP3 a few months ago & i don't see him accepting a backup role either.
That situation will be interesting to watch after the season.

Ford has started only two games since coming back from his neck injury.

Damon Stoudamire and Hakim Warrick arent on the same team for one thing... So i would say Noah Lowry, Hakim Warrick and Mike Miller. but we throw in our own first rounder.

Which first-rounder would that be? The Suns can't trade any of their own picks until 2012.

In any case, Memphis isn't giving up Warrick for a Suns pu-pu platter.

let's say the suns get Ford,
will he start with Nash backing him up?

sure, let's start the guy who averages 12/6/2 on less than 30% from 3 over the best point guard in the game who shoots almost 50% from 3. great idea.
