It seems to me there were games with-in games this past Sunday. Especially the "challenge" of Kurt checking his desire to gamble and throw it all over the place. (Not that we don't have the WR's to get it done) ...BUT learning to run & control the clock. My computer froze up so I ended up listening to the the 49ers announcers for the last 7 minutes. They kept likening it to slow-poison. Our running game was killing them and they couldn't stop it. I think it's essential to learn-how to do this now before the snow flies. I believe, even after (1) game, that we can win the West. The Rams and the 49ers don't scare me, and Seattle is pretty-banged up. Added to the fact that WE are MUCH IMPROVED. But I'm thinking what if we win the West and then have to play Philly or the Giants in the cold. Better believe we'll need our running-game then. So, I think we're about to see a little less-exciting football but, hey, bottom-line is WINNING! GO CARDS!!

Yesterday I spent some time on the Seahawks board and some fans think they are in pretty bad shape. Many of them our upset at their GM for his handling of the offensive line. A few of them likened his aquisition of Wahle in the offseason as "putting lipstick on a dog" and claim they only have 2 NFL caliber lineman

He also is getting flamed for his recent first round busts in Kelly Jennings, Tubbs, and Spencer. He also traded a first rounder for Branch and hasnt gotten much production. One fan wondered if Holmgren would quit mid season if it got too bad. Some of them wanted a young hungry back in last years draft instead of another teams mediocre back. No receivers. Sounds like a mess. I have been there

I agree, and its funny you should say that. From watching hem in the preseason, I thing the best RB on the team is Justin Forsett, by far.

The slow poison; how many times have the Cardinals been victim of it?

It was nice to see Whiz just grind it out and kill the clock.

They cut Forsett yesterday.

My take on Forsett is he's too small and goes down too easily for an everydown RB. was great at Cal and got stronger his senior year but he's a very small guy.

They list him at 5'8" 190 I suspect he's closer to 180. Great kid though I think he can make an NFL roster as a KO returner and 3rd down RB. I was surprised Seattle cut him.

I think they did a good job but I think we need to do better. Edg had a 3.8 yard Ave and a long run of 10 yards. It would be nice and I think Necessary to be a good running team to at some point in a game bake one off for a big gain and score. IMO :D

But it was a great start to be able to control the clock in the fourth like they did.

Sounds like a RB on our roster.
