Jerrod Mustaf. It can't get much worse than being implicated in the murder of your own pregnant girlfriend. He was never charged, but his cousin was the trigger man.

There is also Jayson Williams, the first round pick who refused to even show up for a press conference. Oh, shooting a limo driver just adds to my disgust.
Crap, how did I forget this loser.

How can anyone say Hornacek was overrated? The guy was an AWESOME shooter...

Jason Kidd, I can't stand him now.

Googs, Googs was wack. I hated his game. Who was that one Suns Center like 95-96, italian dude with all this body hair, looked like Rony Seikaly kind of. Spacing his name. Dude looked like Sasquatch.

While a Sun:

averaged 13.7 points, 5.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds, while shooting 51 percent from the floor

Yes, good shooter, but not a "great" a player as people (especially in Phoenix) gush about. Just my opinion :)

But, was just responding to the "How can you hate Hornecek" question. Not really germaine to the topic in this thread.

I think you're talking about Danny Schayes, son of Dolph Schayes. And it was 94-95, the year the Suns inexplicably traded Mark West so they could sign Wayman Tisdale. Schayes was the replacement at center. UGGHH ....

Kind of a weird question, but I can't help it I'm curious.
Personally I'm gonna have to go with "Socks", Elliot Perry. I'm mean, the dude had the energy of Bo Outlaw, seemed to have a great attitude, and always played hard, but every time he touched the ball he was shooting it. It use to annoy the hell out of me.

Holy Crap - HOW COULD I HAVE NOT SAID JASON KIDD?

Biggest underachiever this team has ever had as it's "superstar" and he bashed the organization after he leaves? Kidd is the one no doubt.

Most of the worst have been named already but I didn't like Kyle Macy or Steve Alford either.

Tie for worst:
William Bedford
Jarod Mustaf

Don't hate him but he is way, way OVERRATED in my opinion.
Hmmm. Shooting guard who once led the NBA in FG percentage and came with point guard skills. At 6-4, was right size for the time and developed a Stockton-like ability to play defense in space. Excellent hands. Deadly set shooter who learned how to create his own shot off the dribble. Best 1-on-2 and 1-and-3 fast break defender I've ever seen ... always had great anticipation. Second prettiest looking shot (next to Sweet D) in Suns history.

Think Joe Johnson without the burps in performance.

Luc Longley had to be my least favorite while he was actually playing for the Phoenix Suns. He was brought in to hit that midrange shot, and he shot about 25% from outside 5 feet. I did get alot of mileage out of joking about his 2" vertical leap however.

This is my pick as well.

True, he was a waste. But he wasn't drafted before Malone. That honor goes to Ed Pickney, the year before.

In fact, nobody drafted after Bedford in the 1st round (86') had much of a career. It was the 2nd round (Rodman, Price, Hornecek, McMillian) that produced the gems of that draft.

I feel bad for Randy Livingston. Guy played his heart out, just happened to hurt Danny Manning...

Man I had forgotten how much I loved watching Danny Manning play right before Livingston blew out his knee.

Didn't Livingston cripple Gugliota?

Manning blew out his knee (the last time) in a practice.

Mine is Penny.

That guy came with such high expectations and was such a huge disappointment. The worst part was his constant nonsincicle banter with the media.

By the time he was traded I was so sick of reading Penny quotes that I would have traded him for Adolf Hitler.
