The only thing that will be of a future benefit to us will be to see what McCown's got in him. That should be it for Blake. We're going no where so may as well play the young guy.

But the irony of that is, Josh should have played in the last 8-9 games last year. If the Cardinals didn't plan on bringing Plummer back, then why not play Josh last year?

If there is one good thing that will come out of todays debacle, it's that McCown will get some live game experience. Everyone talked about how he needs to play during the preseason, well, now 's his chance to go out there, face the firing squad and start getting some of the rookie mistakes out of his system.

He's just thrown an INT at the goalline, but , what the heck. He'll never get any better, and we'll never know if he can become a bonfide NFL QB, if he spends his life on the sidelines carrying a clipboard.

Let him make his gaffes in a game like this.

I am still not a fan of McCown.

Leftwich went 7/8 with a TD today :(

It's hard to tell how Josh is. Everyone on this team is so bad, who can tell.

AZ you are right on. Our idiots should have scoped Josh out last year when we knew Plummer was leaving. Frankly I have seen all of Josh I care to see. We do not need to waste another 2 years to figure out this guy is no NFL starter.

John - You can't be all that broken up. As a matter of fact, you have to be feeling pretty darned good this weekend. Your Razorbacks did a very nice number on the Longhorns. I think I will "adopt" them as an NCAA team to root for (along, of course, with Rutgers).

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for McCown as I really don't believe he has the tools to be an NFL QB. They went out and got Blake and they will play him. We don'y have a QB of the future.

McCown did get some good experience today, but he certainly didn't impress. Just like in the preseason, he showed that he can keep us in a game but isn't going to lead us to any thrilling victories soon. He had some good passes but missed other obvious ones, and he showed some athletic ability. Some times he reminded me of Plummer. Blake is doing more good than bad for us and McCown is not the future.
