Matt's limited in his knowledge of coaches. Of course, he's going to endorse him because of the college success. I'm not going to base a decision on what a rookie QB thinks. I'm sure Peyton Manning would have endorsed Fat Phil Fulmer when he was a rookie. That doesn't mean it was the right choice.

I'm not saying hire the coach Matt wants, I'm saying Matt's not going to endorse Chow just because he played for him in college. If he was going to do that he'd be screaming for Carroll(who apparently the Dolphins now want).

I'm just saying people automatically assume Matt has one reason to endorse Chow and that's it, the kid doesn't want to lose. Same people seem to think we'll want rivera because of the Bears connection, reality is there's a lot of things we don't know about these guys that go into it.

I don't know what's been said recently but i know when Leinart was aksed during the year he said he'd love to play for Carroll. I think if Carroll was on the Cards wish list that Leinart would endorse him as well. I always thought Huizenga would go after Carroll beacuse he give his coach total say and that's what Carroll wants. Plus, Huizenga would get the big name out there after losing Saban. It makes alot sense for Carroll to go there. BTW, did you hear how they found out that Huizenga talked to Carroll. I guess they tracked his private jet online using flightaware.com and saw that he went to Costa Rica where Carroll was vacationing. Amazing.

I don't know if Chow would be a good head coach, but I think he would do better in the NFL than in college.

When he was at USC his name would always come up for HC openings but the big knock on him was his lack of interest in recruiting. The word is that he barely left the campus at USC and just coached the studs Carroll brought in.

Since it wouldn't be his job to "recruit" in the NFL I think he would be able to put a great offense on the field. I'm very impressed with what he's done with Vince Young at Tenn., and his work at USC stands for itself.

Obviously, he'd have to bring in a very good DC. But we'll have the same conerns on O if we bring in Rivera.

Personally, I hope we bring in a coach with a background on offense because I think the Cardinal O is closer to being great.
