Keep me posted I think He is going to have to go all Ryan Leaf on Whisenhunt before he gets to start. You know seeing how Ken loves DD and unsportsmanlike conduct an all.

Leinart is going to be on Ktar in about 2 mins.

He didn't say a whole lot more than he's said before, but believe it or not he sounded upbeat and said this is more motivation and he plans that when or if he gets to play tomorrow in Chicago he's just gonna go out a wing it and have fun. He said he can control only what he can control and he doesn't feel that he has anything to lose by turning it loose.

Of course this is all paraphrasing but that's the gist of it, I think.

Completely disagree. I just heard it and he sounded like a puppy kicked in the ribs. Has pretty much zero relationship with Whiz and no confidence.

Well I'm sure it will be on KTAR's website soon so people can listen to it and interpret however.

I think Longcolts said it right. Matt didn't appear to be angry, more puzzled on his lack of playtime. He was asked some tough questions but chose not to answer them, rather than focus on the game tomorrow night.

Question: Is it the coach and his tough love approach?

Matt: I have no idea.

Matt: (Tomorrow) I'm just going to go out there and wing it and have fun. (He said he was going to "wing it" twice, in case that means anything.)

When asked about staying in AZ he said, "It's where I WANT to be." Definitely placed an emphasis on the word "want".

The moral of the story is people hear what they want to hear and what the truth is, no one knows.

Yea i went to my truck and caught the end of it. Matts not mad He is frustrated, He is trapped and says they have to get better as an offense.
He stayed professional but said He wants to play where he's wanted and He hopes it is in Arizona.

I work in a mental health clinic and if played yo yo with my clients or staff like Whiz does the qwhole neighborhood would be at risk. Lead follow or get the hell out of the way coach.

Mike Miller, Russ Grimm we need you to step up to the mike and give your honest appraisal of the offense.

Matts last start against the Bears was enough adversity for any NFL QB for eternity. Matt was and is honest and I remain soundly in his corner.

He is the best QB for the Arizona Cardinals in 2010.

Matt is mad and I think that he finally pissed off. He should have done this years ago.

Matt Leinart is a colossal bust. I have given up all hope for him.

That is just silly. He has gone from potential starter to colossal bust in the span of one week,

The guy was a bust even before this preseason. I think we as Cards fans had false hope that he would turn it around and he has done nothing but come in with mediocre performance after mediocre performance aside from that one average game he had vs Tennessee.

I assure you KTAR has no care on how the poll ends up. In fact, it's not heavily in favor of Leinart.

Its funny that in your blog about trusting Ken Whisenhunt he just did a 180 on everything you talked about.

I don't find being wrong funny at all.

:mulli:

Nah, I still think Leinart is the guy (maybe just a myopic view at this point). Just seems like Anderson hasn't done anything to show he's better than Leinart. I wouldn't be shocked if this is Anderson's "final stand" to prove that he belongs on the roster, because being the backup doesn't seem like a role that suits him well (makes mistakes inefficient).

But if Anderson does end up being the guy, even without improved play, then I do wonder how Whiz went into the season with his QB options being a guy he didn't trust, a guy who stinks, a late round rookie and and an undrafted FA rookie.

I think that it was joeshmo who mentioned that the coaches wanted to bring in Bulger when he was released and the FO told them to play with what you got. If we hadn't signed DA though we could have been left with just Leinart and a injured BSP on the roster.

If that's the case a lot of us misunderstood what kind of control and cache Whiz has.

I would have bought this idea more had Leinart started over Warner a couple years ago, but Whiz went with Kurt, which showed he wasn't just going to do what everyone thought ownership wanted.

As for Bulger specifically, maybe after signing Anderson that's what they said, and I don't totally disagree. There were two youngish-veteran QBs on the roster already, I don't think the Cards wanted to go all Jon Gruden and start collecting QBs this season.
