Do you really expect Leinart to stay injury free for the entire season?

Yes. You can't assume constant health by the players, but one shouldn't expect them to go down either.

If Warner were to get a chance to start, and the Cards could get some help now plus some draft picks, it be worth it to me to sacrifice depth at the QB position.

so you don't think the Cards should even carry a QB to backup Lionheart?

I don't think you'll find anyone (without a negative agenda) who would say that Warner isn't pure class and a great mentor and human being. As well as still a very good QB.

If he wants to start, he should be given the chance--somewhere else. I imagine his trade value would be as high as ever.

That would be a monumental mistake, unless you are ok with finishing 4-12 again because Warner will probably play the majority this week, and start in St. Louis. This franchise needs to turn the corner and stop always using the terms "future, rebuild, in a couple of years" and so on. The time is now. Seize the day and go for it. Leinart isn't going anywhere. He'll have his day, and I would much rather have him sit, figure out what is wrong, and then come back into a winning situation, than for him to cost the team and the fans another season. The time is now!

LMAO, I hate Madden. Madden also has some serious man love for Brett Favre
madden is a smart man for saying that. romo looks good right now.
anyway I am confused by this. I didn't see this coming, but I thought the cards pulled the plug on warner early last season. now it almost appears that things have flip-flopped a year later. I don't know what else to say.. there are pros and cons for each guy being your starter. leinart is definitely the future. why didn't the coach think about making warner his starter from game 1?

Good question. I think he wanted to but didn't for fear of yanking Leinart for seemingly no reason. Instead he created a far more disastrous PR situation by doing what he did.

well the thing that concerns me is leinart's confidence. maybe green threw him out there too early in the first place, but any QB can work through that. look at troy aikman for instance.
but taking the job away from him could send a message to him that they have lost confidence in him. If whis goes to leinart from day 1 and says he feels warner gives them an edge due to experience i think things would of been different and leinart could have dealt with it easier. Or just left the QB position open for grabs in the offseason. hopefully leinart can bounce back from this. and I think musical QB's will only make things worse for everyone.

We finally have a young, potential franchise QB for the first time in AZ and after 14 starts the fans are ready to run him out of town. Sometimes it really sucks being a Cardinal fan.

.......14 Games, 2 Head Coaches who couldn't be any more different if they tried, 3 offensive coordinators and a brand new offensive line later...

Yeah, the guy has yet to win a Super Bowl though.. Lets bench him and subsequently trade him while we still can...

Truly asinine. Its logic like this that makes me realize why most professional athletes have little regard for the fans. There's so much fickle ******** involved that you could make a stew out of it..
