now I'm afraid he'll be good... not because he's actually talented... but just because it seems like exactly what would happen to the Cardinals.

I really thought this would be a good fit for Seattle and for Leinart but Jackson, Whitehurts and Leinart seem to be very different types of QB's so it makes me wonder what Seattle is actually trying to do?

I guess withe expanded rosters and more money, they are going to throw some mud at the wall and see which QB sticks.

If Leinart can't win a competition with those two, especially under Carroll's watch, then as many have already speculated, he'll be done in the NFL.

Petey now has his boy again... I think Matt will be given a HUGE amount leeway from Petey. I could completely see a scenario where Tavaris beats out Matt (in the eyes of everyone), yet Matt enters the season as the starter.

I wonder if he sees any playing time. In our division with his old coach should answer all the questions, statements, even the "ratings" that The Leenart has gotten in here. Time will tell.

It will certainly illustrate, one way or the other, just how hungry and/or dedicated he is.

Which is the unfortunate caveat for the Cardinals. Them releasing him may just wind up being the spark to ignite the flame of him getting motivated.

Leinart will wind up a starter and lead them to 10 wins, just watch...

Ahh between Sam Bradfords emegence, the Jim Harbaugh - Pete Carroll dynamic, and now Matty Light in Seattle - this division just got a WHOLE lot more interesting.

Just wait until ESPN starts bashing the Cards for cutting Leinart even though they celebrated the move.

definitely not a fan of matty mascot - i've long held that his ceiling is average/mediocre

not a fan of jackson

I actually like whitehurst, but don't think he's the answer at starter

I see this is a stop gap move where seattle is trying to see who can at least be servicable going forward as they look for their QBOF

Leinart, Whitehurst and Jackson. I wonder what the playing order will be between them?

We play them January 1st. Douchebag will be hungover after a long night clubbing with Nick Lachey and throw three picks.

If he gets the starter's nod our first game with the 'hags will be pretty awesome. I hate to say it but he will have his chance to feed Whiz some crow. If that happens the post game press conference should be interesting.
