According to profootballtalk, Leinart is apparently headed to Seattle but Washington has interest in him too.

Maybe others? Seems like he'd jump at the chance to go to Seattle considering that Carroll and his old OC are both there and the level of competition is pretty low but if he's getting multiple offers? Maybe some other team is offering him a better chance to start or more money?

The new OC for the Hags is Darrell Bevell, Jeremy Bates was fired at the end of last season.
No connection to Matty what so ever.

Sorry, Carl Smith is the QB coach and who I was talking about(Obviously not the OC but my point is I wasn't talking about Bates(who I think was actually fired at the start of last season)). He was the QB coach at USC in 2004 when Leinart was the QB and when USC won the National Championship.

I wish, I had that excuse but know I'm sober over 16 years. I just can't believe the Cardinals did this. We had a plan went to a SB had an heir in place, destroyed his confidence on purpose, cut him at the last preseason game. Aborted the plan and kept 3-4 scrub QB's and ran Beanie 116 times, after breaking beanie late in the last preseason game, for no good reason!

WHIZ folded, blamed the players, that is how He responded.

WE are getting worse not better, and that makes me crazy.

Just yanking your chain THES.;)

Leinart's last tweet last night after the other denying he's signed with Seattle.

I'm left wondering which teams are calling but even more so, why doesn't he have unlimited minutes?!? :)

Personally I don't believe Whiz destroyed Matt's confidence "on purpose". I think Matt's confidence disappeared when he fractured his collarbone. I also think Matt wasn't mentally tough enough. But if he gets picked up somewhere and does well I'll admit I was wrong on that particular call. (But I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.)

I also don't get always calling Matty the "young QB". This will be his 6th season in the NFL. I don't call that young. Tebow is young.

Other than that, Thesmel, I do love the poetry.

If Matt had been smart and realized the Scud was a Scud, he would have been our starter by game 5 last year. Matt didn't want the #2 seat here, so he bounced, while Max Hall got the nod. I put the debacle on Matt as much as I do Whiz.

This is the "Big Dog" league. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. Did Warner quit when things went against him? If you don't have confidence in yourself and a will to win, you'll wind up sitting on the bench.

I'm currently reading a biography of Joe Namath. That man was a Big Dog when he was 10, lol.

That's the player I pray to have on my team.

I wouldn't. I'd say that time and his experiences in Arizona and Houston helped him grow and forced him to address some of his weaknesses. It's got to be a slap in the face to be benched for DA, released and then exiled into 3rd string status on a 6 win team.

I agree...the most perplexing thing is that he has a limited minutes plan. Whiskey tango foxtrot??

Yes he did. He made a 2year commitment and failed to honor it and we need to quit rewarding him for it.

Washington currently has John Beck and Rex Grossman as their top two starters. If he's looking to compete for a starting job, that might be the best place that he can go.

And the Redskins also play the Cards next year.

And people thought Whiz was mean to Leinart and killed his confidence. Shanahan never struck me as a nice coach.

That's not the impression that I got from A Few Seconds of Panic. He's not a coddler, but I don't think that he plays mind games and tries to screw with people, especially his QBs.

I think that Shanahan might be the kind of cerebral, Svengali type of coach who doesn't want his QB questioning the system that #7 could really work with. If Washington does pick him up, it could speak well of #7's time in Houston, since I'm guessing Shanahan and Kubiak remain close.

Per profootballtalk.com (here), Leinart signed with Texas to back up Matt Schaub.

Per PFT, "It says a lot about how far Leinart has fallen that for the second straight year, he has signed in Houston even though he knows he can’t start in Houston, just because he can’t start anywhere else, either."
