By this I mean I see no reasonable scenario at this time for him being cut. Adrian Wilson, yes he could be cut. Anthony Clement, yes he could be cut. Number 1 pick Davis getting cut this year, yeah right. I can see a slight possibility but for someone to say he is on the bubble, they need to step back and look at the rest of the line and then realize why Davis won't get cut.

I also got to add that Adrian Wilson is going no were as well. Green gave him the middle RFA tender offer of 1.368 million. There is no way that if Green had such bad feelings about him he would have never given him that kind of offer. If he does have doubts about Willson he would have just given him the low tender of 628,000 and saved $740,000 to use for other things, plus giving him the lower tender would have made it easier to trade him and get rid of him. The numbers or the depth chart just dont add up to get rid of him.

I agree,Davis is going nowhere other than LG.Clement and Wilson will both make the team this year.Next year is the year that those guys(Wilson and Clement) have to worry. The Cards just don't have the personnel to cut those guys this year.Another year of adding players to give this team some legitimate NFL depth and those guys could be casualties.

Just mho

the reason they moved "BIG" to guard is to make sure McCown doesn't have to run for his life wrrrying about his blind side. I don't think there'll be many sacks from that side of the line. The psychological ease that gives josh will go a long way in developing this hit and run passing game.

According to Denny, the reason they moved Leonard to the left side is that our attack tends to favor running to the left side.

Think about it for a second. If a lot of your passing plays will involve McCown rolling out to the right off play action fakes, most of those fakes are likely to be off looks that mimic runs to the left side.

Add this

young QB, running alot last year. I agree with your scenario and that that will be our strong side for the run. The blitz on a young gun will come from his blind side or that part of the middle. He'll be able to see anything coming
from the right. Just my thoughts, LOL, I could be way out of the end zone on this one.

Its not like Big has been stinking up the field. He was banged up a lot last year, and looked bad on a few plays because of it. His pass blocking was a little shakey at times..

However, sometimes he was dominant. I saw quite a few pancake blocks in 2003.

Lets get him healthy, in shape, and motivated, and he'll probably make the probowl (Big will have to beat out guys like Larry Allen, and Marco Rivera (packers) to do that).

Thanks for pointing out our failures

We at ASFN have done a poor job at relaying information, judging from the comments.

Denny Green WILL cut some big salaries. He talks often about cutting guys who will be all-pros for somebody else. It's usually in the context of talented starters not buying into the program. Denny thinks the big salary guys who don't perform poison the team's attitude worse than the marginal players. (my interpretation of what Denny says).

On Adrian Wilson. Denny wanted him to try CB. Adrian didn't want to. Then Adrian missed both minicamps with a pulled hamstring. Not good. Then Mike Stone started to look like an NFL player. Then Denny Green said he needed aa strong safety in the draft, not a CB.

Spanky, shots at me are free. I don't mind. But I will always give you my opinions. For straight reporting, without personal input, read Kent Somers and Darren Urban. And, by the way, I do ask them for opinions and they oblige but I can't quote them.

Mike Jurecki and one other radio guy share too but often I can't steal their stuff.

So don't make the mistake of thinking my comments are idle musing. Two weeks ago I had a long talk with the Cards director of security. Wow, does he notice stuff.

Then I talked to the Cards players' secretary about Parsons while she took a cigarette break. She was fired this week. Bad for her, bad for me. She was a veritable fountain of good info.

There is more but players won't go on record anymore. I still take the stuff into account but work it in as my opinion.

Jo and Ian Sparkes do much of the same.

Appreciate your inside views, Skkorp. You of course are much closer to the events than anyone of us keyboard analysts. There of course will be differences of opinions but that is ok.
