Generally I have little trust for anything that comes through 98.7 but this seems like a stretch even for them.

Could I see it maybe happening one time in a game we were winning easily? Possibly.

Consistently happening even in games we are down and need to rally? I really can't see it.

A lot of these stories I do believe as they confirm what we have already seen and suspected. This one is too much.

That's my thing this guy on his bio says source for 98.7, and he's citing 98.7 as his source on this tweet. they may have actually said it, but he might be citing himself? He may be the source for 98.7 I guess is my point.

I can't imagine an NFL coach allowing his starting QB to do that at halftime.

(Excluding all things Sarver) We see examples every day of a team downtown that has a good culture and has a winning mentality top to bottom. There is no comparison between the teams.

Who trashes their young star? The Cards could shoot all this down and said BS, yet now the whole country is talking about big red mayhem.

It would be in his interest to tweet that himself rather than give 98.7 credit. He has tweeted plenty of other things from his own sources.

If if Kliff allowed this I can't see players like Nuk, Jones or Watt standing for it.

Let's be specific...He did not scrub his social media...He scrubbed his Instagram and he removed more than just the Cardinals. His TikTok (probably more important than IG these days and many influencers are leaving IG) and Twitter still have Cards posts.

About the Cards accounts...There is absolutely no way the Cardinals social media team would be trolling Kyler, if there were serious problems between he and the franchise. Same goes for Watt's trolling of him. Even Nuk didn't think it was a big deal. When Double A Ron was reported to have a fracture with the Packers, did any of his teammates speak up and say it wasn't true? I don't recall it...and the Packers PR teams absolutely never tried to troll him on social media.

Someone mentioned that so far, only Mike B and Kyler have been known to have been angry at how the season ended...maybe the 2 of them are actually on the same page.

I'm not saying KM doesn't need to add more leadership or grow up more, but him deleting stuff from IG is hardly throwing a tantrum, like some would have you believe.

Regarding Mortenson...I really think sometimes he's grasping at straws to try and stay relevant. His best reporting days are far behind him.

Also, I'm not so sure AJ Green is the leak. I don't recall KM ever really throwing him under the bus for his drops and misses...Maybe I didn't see it.

My guess would be AJ because a couple of times on drops or weird plays by Green I saw Kyler yelling or being pretty demonstratively angry at AJ. Which BTW Brady and Rodgers do all the time too, but of course they've earned the right to do it.

yeah I'm not saying Kyler doesn't have issues but I am skeptical that the cards would have done what they did on Social Media if they were legitimately saying he has major immaturity issues, just seems like likely to blow up in their faces

I can't either but, it seems, very little adjustments happen at half time with Kliff and his staff. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a bit of truth in it.

Honestly if that's true I have 2 questions, is that normal do other players listen to music or talk to family at halftime, i assume no. If the answer to 1 is no they don't. Question 2 is how quickly can you fire Kliff? 3 years and his starting QB is doing this at halftime when they should be going over the 2nd half gameplan? You can't as a coach allow that, bad enough that Murray apparently is doing it, but a coach allowing it that's just awful.

I googled Chuck Harris I had no idea who he was, he has several articles on Sportswire this year speculating about Kyler being a headcase so this is not unusual for him, but he's saying he heard it on the radio so someone else said it. But then you check his bio and it says he is a source for 98.7 where he says he heard it so that's a bit odd?

Chuck Harris is a clown with a history of spreading false information. I'd like to hear the context of what was really said on the radio and who said it.

Oh, I recall that as well and isn't that the type of on-field fire we want from him? To not be afraid of calling out a teammate, in the moment? I don't recall, however, KM ever doing that in a post game interview...throwing a teammate under the bus in public.

Yeah I always ask because many years ago on this board we had a guy who made a post about an interesting article he'd read on the Cards. we read the article, and I had a weird feeling and I went back and sure enough that guy who posted the article, also WROTE the article. he'd admitted earlier that he wrote articles for that site. Now I had no issue with the article, the problem was when he posted it he didn't say here's an article I wrote what do you guys think, he said here's an interesting article I read I think you might like it, kind of hiding the fact he wrote it.

Complete organizational failure. Bidwill has no idea what he's doing, Keim surrounds a great young QB on a rookie contract with a sub par roster, and we pair Kyler with Coach Bro, a guy who clearly won't challenge Kyler.

If Kyler fails here, it will be as much on the organization as it is Kyler.

Absolutely. Kyler Murray has never even experienced NFL coaching. It's a shame that he's not a natural born leader, he's more of an introvert, but how can you expect a college player to develop into a top tier NFL player when he's coached by a guy who couldn't even cut it at Texas Tech? None of these things would be happening with a coach like Jim Harbaugh.

The Cardinals have their own concerns about Murray, with sources describing the 2019 No. 1 overall pick as self-centered, immature and someone who points fingers.

Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury is said to be self-scouting where he can provide better alternatives to help Murray, according to sources. Meanwhile, select veterans on the team hope to reach out to Murray on how the 24-year-old can better handle adversity, sources said.

Anyone who loses with Pat Mahomes shouldn't ever get a head coaching job again.

I'll say it again but Kliffs mentor was Kevin Sumlin. He never had a college coach that knew about structure and control.

One of my few fears about the Cardinals drafting Kyler was that he didnt do as well on the field or off the field under the Sumlin tree.

And that is on Keim. Aaron Rodgers had tuned out Tom Clements. They should have brought in a stronger offensive mind to guide both.

Anyone whose claim to fame is their High School records shouldn't be talked about as a top 10 NFL QB.
Kyler won a Heisman trophy his 1st full year as a starter. We dont have to just talk HS to shame him. ;)

Lets read some predraft quotes

I distinctly remember starting final evaluation and watching three games on tape right before the combine. His tape was unlike anything I had ever seen. He'd take the snap and immediately drift backward for no particular reason and sling sidearm and off balance. And you'd cringe until you saw the throw connect for a perfectly placed vertical shot.

He's very comfortable throwing off-platform and from different arm angles, but he can also get unnecessarily sloppy with his mechanics.

but his pocket discipline is poor at this point. He frequently bails too early and has a strong tendency to drift (even when there's no pressure). He needs to be more consistent climbing the pocket versus perimeter pressure."

Early on in the process, I had a second- or third-round grade on him I didn't think he was ready, and I couldn't push the flawed mechanics aside.

No wait that isnt Kyler Murray. Thats Patrick Mahomes!

And we hired this guy because...

That, of course, was another big part of it: Mahomes went to the right spot. You can't count on that happening, but it worked out ideally for him -- and Kansas City. My scouting report went into that too, stating, "It would be in his best interest to sit and learn as a rookie while making a sizeable transition from an offense [at Texas Tech] that features a small playbook, limited playcalling verbiage and minimal pre-snap responsibility for the QB." I remember talking to Mahomes during the preseason of his rookie year about my evaluation of him, and he recognized how perfectly things fell together. He had the chance to learn behind coach Andy Reid and veteran QB Alex Smith for a year, and it paid off.

Now sometimes Mahomes issues come back to the surface and are still a problem. However, good, tough coaching keeps him disciplined enough. Do you really think Mahomes wouldnt revert back to the same issues or more with Kliff? I just dont know if Kliff is a tough enough coach or not. Cause those quotes sound a lot like Kyler. And EXACTLY like Manziel with Kliff and Sumlin. "Bro just do your thing" at all times coaching.

He's a top 10 NFL QB, universally regarded as that and he's proven it on the field, whether you like it or not. And I think the Heisman is a bigger accomplishment than the high school stuff. Shame he has been saddled by a losing college coach and incompetent GM.

Heisman means a ton in the NFL.

4 times out of 56 a Heisman-winning QB has won a Super Bowl.

This is some straight up nonsense. Let me get this right.

Kyler has a losing record in the NFL because of everyone else. The D wasn't good enough, he didn't have enough weapons, the O line was bad etc etc

But at the same time Kliff is garbage because he didn't have a winning record with Mahomes and a bunch of 2-3 star recruits at a college that traditionally can't recruit defenders?

No credit to Kliff for spotting the talent Mahomes has and recruiting him? For being the guy that saw the talent in a kid that only just scraped inside the top 400 recruits and who's other offer was from Rice and turning him into a round 1 QB?

You can't make all the excuses for Kyler and then ignore the lack of talent around Mahomes in college.

Right, but after how many years?

I thought people were saying yesterday that's why Bidwill was really mad, it wasn't about just how the season ended, it was about Kyler?

I agree about the reporting like I said if it weren't Mort I'd be more inclined to just accept it as fact. I'm not sure how connected he is anymore
It wasn't just Mort though. A bunch of reporters decided this was the right time to empty their notebooks about Kyler.
