If it's true and he's unsettled like this, then get the biggest haul for him while he has any value. I'm not reading that much into this yet, though. Only looking at a possible outcome.
We own him for the next 2 to 3 years. If he EVER wants a huge contract he will play his best and continue to improve. Everything he does goes on tape and that tape is his resume. The NFL is a "what have you done for me lately " league, and two years of **** play or being benched will ruin his career. Then if he plays well but don't wanna sign, tag him and get another year.

At this point I would rather see the kid quit instead of giving him a Mahomes type contract

If he insists on a new deal I would sit him down and have a frank conversation regarding expectations...those met as well as those failed, and what he needs to do moving forward.

Then I meet him halfway,.... 3 years, 18m per year, 24mil guaranteed. So 3/$54/$24
Tell him he gets a Lombardi before the contract expires and his next offer will be double or more yearly

Kyler will get $40 million per year the same as Dak Prescott. I doubt if he settles for less. Mahomes is getting $45M, Josh Allen is getting $43M Dashaun Watson is at $39 M and Russell Wilson is $35M. Lamar Jackson is up for his contract renewal now, he will become a free agent in 2023.

A bigger flex would be to unfollow all Cardinals (team, coaches, players) and start following the same from another team, like the Raiders.

So how long is it going to take until everyone starts talking about all the first round picks the Eagles have to make something like that happen? Fun times ahead at least, although I am still pretty sure that the whole topic is already way blown out of proportion...

FWIW Ian Rapport on Pat Macaffee Show says that he would be surprised if Kyler was done with the Cardinals. Pat also noted that Kyler has scrubbed every other post on his IG not just the Cards stuff.

I honestly don't know why players do this. It isn't just Cardinals players that have done it. It seems like a negotiating tactic, but not sure what why they think it hurts.

Matthew Stafford career won-loss record = 86-94-1

But by all means, please continue trashing K1 every chance you get.
I don't know why pointing this fact out is trashing him. It is not an opinion. It is a fact.

Another fact. While Kyler may be a sub 500 starting QB, Kliff is an above 500 head coach.

If you want to whine about a stupid technicality, at least get it right. Kliff is sub .500 when you remove this year's Cleveland game from his record. He was out with covid.

Fair point. Both are sub 500 despite no one giving Vance a 1-0 HC win. And who is whining? Only those on here who apparently feel like citing facts is some form of hate.

All I know is that there is a ton of hype and hand-wringing for a QB who is sub 500, never throw for 4000 yards in a season, 30 TDs in a season, and never won a division clinching game or playoff game. I mean, Kirk Cousins has thrown for 4000 yards 6 out of the 7 seasons he has been a full time starter. 30+ TDs three times. Better record as a starter. Has won a playoff game. The gap between Cousins and Murray is significantly closer than the gap between Joe Burrow and Kyler Murray.

When you combine Kyler's rushing yards and touchdowns to his passing totals he blows Kirk out of the water. Why cherry pick stats to make your QB look bad? Kyler is a dual threat, that's part of his game. Kirk also didn't hit ANY of those arbitrary numbers (4k yards is just so much better than Kyler's 3,900, lol) until he was age 27. Kyler is 24, already been better than Kirk ever has been, and has tons of room to grow.

Burrow had a pretty good season, though Kyler was much better through 8 weeks than Burrow was. Then Hopkins got hurt. The rest of the season, Kyler was throwing to AJ Green, who wasn't good enough to make the Cincinatti roster, while Burrow had studs in Chase and Higgins. Not really comparable. Burrow has been fortunate in the playoffs as his defense has made great plays for him, he's been a decent game manager but not much more. The defense won the Tenesee game with multiple interceptions of Tannehil and won the Chiefs game by Mahomes having the worst half of football in playoff history.
