Just actually wondering if Kyler cultist watched the Chiefs/Bills playoff game.
Both QBs stand in pocket and can throw over the line middle of the field which opens up lanes.
Kyler does not do this is at all. He cannot see the field. So unless we got BOTH Hopkins and a f****** michael thomas/Davanta adams to play outsides we are never going to go deep into playoffs. All they have to do is plug up middle of field and they know Kyler going to throw outside everytime. Everyone and their grandmother knows what happens in redzone/especially goal line throws. Back side to hopkins. 85% of the time he does this. Yet doesn't deliver perfect passes and or gets tipped by DE. I mean we should be running ball more in these situations but whatever. Point is if he was elite then he would audible different play since he cant make that play work over half the time. Big body middle of field in end zone. That is why we got Zack Ertz right??? He was brought in for 1st downs and endzone body.

but please keep calling people with opposite views of you as trolls.

I'd trade kyler and draft picks AND a kick in the nuts for Herbert

So why did prime Drew Brees go 7-9 for 3 straight years?
This is disingenuous, as you know what I mean, but I'll bite. Clearly not every single game, year after year. If you have an awful defense, you're going to have problems as a team long-term. Said great QB can still go into a season with a sucky D that should net you 4 wins and grind it out for 7 wins, for instance.

Well yeah, those teams were probably 4-12 with any lesser QB

I'm saying nearly all wins are on the back of the QB, even the ones where the QB didn't play well. The only exceptions are the great running teams but I'd say maybe 3 of those in the league that you can rely on to run 60-70% and still win. Titans, Colts and Niners (not counting Ravens as Lamar runs so much).

It's not like I see lots of tight games on our roster at the end there where we scored 22 but the D gave up 24. Seahawks game probably the only one I think you can say our D was at fault for the loss.

Offense stunk vs Lions. D held Colts to 22. Offense stunk in the playoff game.

2nd Rams game is probably the most debatable but seeing as Kyler threw what was basically a pick 6 and an EZ pick I'm going to put that on the offense too.

I take the Seahawks game back. I forgot we started the game with a pick 6 without which the offense only put up 23. So while the defense was poor, so was the offense.

It's almost as if Kyler always plays well when the defense dominates and he can chillax and just do his thing, but not so much when the pressure is on to perform because we need him.

KM completion rate: 2019: 64.39 - 2020: 67.20 - 2021: 69.23

But don't let these facts stand in the way of a good rant.

oh those are completions in redzone to Hopkins??
Or completions middle of the field??

Oh neither got it

Maybe you should re-read my post.

If we just throw random completions

Colt Mccoy had a 22-26 game without Hopkins and won
dont let facts stand in the way of a good rant

The defense also gave the ball to Kyler at the 1 yard line on another turnover so, the offense basically mustered up a whoppping total of 16 points, at home, against a terrible D with the division on the line.

Make no mistake, the defense was a sieve in that game, but Kyler wasn’t good either.

Kyler was bad almost all game long. He had one stretch towards the end of the second quarter and midway thru the 3rd when he got cooking and we retook the lead, but then basically did nothing once the game was tight and then piled on yards in fourth facing a prevent D at the end of the game.

Again, despite the two big turnovers by the the D that basically gave us 14 points, the D was awful. But Kyler was pretty bad also.

Again he led the entire NFL in rating throwing over the middle of the field.

There's literally tons of things you can complain about I don't see why you keep complaining about something that statistically he actually does well?

I don't like how his running fell off last year I attribute some of it to the ankle but then as I said at the time, his longest run of his career, against th eColts, came after he got back so the ankle had to be at least mostly ok for him to get a 57 yard run.

He has to stand in the pocket stronger. he has to continue to improve in the pocket, he still takes too many big loss sacks.

Can't panic and throw the ball like the 2 out of the endzone (Colts and Rams).

Mm hmm, deflection. No mention of your swiss cheese argument ;)

KM puts up all kinds of stats, but the 0-fer stat is the biggest one.

Well, you seem to be on top of this so give us the number of sacks that can be attributed directly to KM and those to the O-line?

And, of course, please define 'opportunity'?

Those numbers are good, but in no way do they incorporate bad sacks taken because the QB cannot properly utilize the pocket, or missed opportunities from the same. The kid is lights-out in being able to make plays at times, no question, but he also needs to be able to stand in and make a lot of the basic plays he isn't making.
And also in no way do those numbers incorporate the amount of sacks he avoids with our swinging gate offensive line

Again, lazy response ignoring the question. Why should I answer you when your form of debate is ignoring everyone else and simply re-stating the same thing? lol

He certainly escapes sacks other QBs would fall victim to. That, in large part, is part of his appeal and potential at QB. When you factor in the sacks that QBs with good pocket awareness avoid, the amount of extra yardage he loses on those awful spin-out sacks, that potential is counterbalanced. He too often bails on an acceptable pocket. We all know this and have seen it.

I'm trying to understand your criteria, and evidently, there's no there, there.
The point you very much understand but are pretending to be too oblivious to acknowledge is that the stats don't always tell the full story. Your argument lacks information. Unless you add in the other stats you're demanding I produce, your argument falls flat. As you know. So, why would I do your work for you? Defend your own argument :)

Definitely some strong points there I agree with - bails too soon, losing extra yardage.. I do feel confident in stating that him avoiding sacks off-sets the extra yardage (yet - agree he needs to just throw the damn ball away more if there is no immediate escape route).

I feel that we will have a better assessment once we even have a semi-competent O-Line.
