In the World Series of Poker, there were 2700+ players. Many were very good players. There was one successful player. That's why they played the game.

Bud Grant, Marv Levy - both better football coaches than Barry Switzer. Just never quite as successful as Switzer.

I guess it's really fruitless to debate what success means to you or me or anybody else for that matter.

I have my concept and it is what it is.

the guy won a superbowl no doubt about it. So in terms of superbowls..obviously he has DG beat.... and many "successful" coaches for that matter, but you seem to equate a "one hit wonder" as a success.

No he doesn't belong in the NFL Hall of Fame. Bud Grant does. So does Marv Levy.

But Switzer's name is in the NFL Hall of Fame, too. For reasons that Grant and Levy aren't.

Great post! I am still optimistic about this season, and definitely about the future. Green will right this ship. I really really dislike his decision to start King and then stick with him, but hey he is the HC and definitely knows alot more about winning football games than I do.

I hope Berry is alot better, we need him. He was playing most of the first 1/2 and that is when we got beat down the most!

I'd be more upset if Denny started King at the last minute with no practice reps, and THEN benched him. He set him up to fail...I'm glad he's sticking with his decision.
