In the World Series of Poker, there were 2700+ players. Many were very good players. There was one successful player. That's why they played the game.
Bud Grant, Marv Levy - both better football coaches than Barry Switzer. Just never quite as successful as Switzer.
I guess it's really fruitless to debate what success means to you or me or anybody else for that matter.
