We have a franchise QB and a franchise RB and the 19th losing season out of the last 20...

...and we can't all agree that we should spend every last dollar it takes to upgrade our oline?

Risking the health of our QBOF and our huge RB investment is just plain stupid.

You guys can try to defend it anyway you want but honestly, all kool aid aside, we have 30+m in cap room and there is NO defense for not upgrading our line.

You are certainly right on all counts the way I see it. You certainly don't need an endorsement from me!! However would you agree that the front office and coaches see the same thing OR they see something in the talent that we have that says the F/A out there are not any better than what we have, and the improvement is going to have to come through the draft.

Don't you believe that is a possibility? I do. I gotta' believe the scouting group, new coaches and Graves see it that way. I really don't think they have been hiding under a rock.

I swallowed this bit last year...not going to do it again. The oline was the single reason we didn't win the division or contend for a playoff spot. Dennis Green has his issues as a HC too but with a solid oline, we would have won anyway.

I think the front office doesn't have a clue. For 5 years we have needed to upgrade our offensive line and for 5 years our front office has said it will "coach up" the talent that they have.

This is total B.S. The fact that us beer swilling football addicts, who hold other jobs, have a better grasp of what needs to be done is alarmingly bad.

This team has enough talent to compete with ANY NFL team IF it had a solid (not even great, or good) offensive line. If the organization really wanted to win games like they constanly say, and want to shed the title of "Same ol' Cardinals" then they should do something about it.

Actions speak louder than words. And right now the Cardinals actions are telling us they don't have a clue.

And, according to Joeshmo, they have once again moved caphits from the future into the current year just to have the team appear to be using their cap space. It's insane. All other teams try to squeeze as many starting quality players onto their rosters by mortgaging the future and the Cards do the opposite and try to create future cap space by pushing future money into the current year.

I can't take it anymore, I'm going balistic!!!!

Even the friggen Lions are trying to address their oline in the same market.

Edit: Right or wrong...win or lose, at least Millen is trying!

If that cap crap is true, this team is an even bigger joke than I thought.

After Dexter Jackson, Starks, Ross and others you get a little tired paying and getting nothing. I do not understand not doing something with Davis and getting him signed since the free agents were so thin at OL. At least we had better get Gandy.

I think Denny's staff was horrible and was a problem with the team doing his reign. Looney seemed to be doing a good job but to little to late. I think with good coaching and our core players we will do much better this year and win the division.

What about James, Clancy and M.Brown from last year? All starters and if we didn't sign them wouldn't we have more holes to fill this year?

Isn't building a team a combination of drafting and signing free agents that can improve your team?

And Bertrand Berry and Chike Okeafor and Kurt Warner and Robert Griffith. These guys filled holes and we needed them to. We have drafted better and are now starting to see those efforts pay off...Leinart, Dansby, Dockett, Fitz, Q, Hayes, and Adub. Rolle, Green, Lutui, Pope, Wells, and Leckey were also drafted by us.

BUT we must continue to get quality starters from both pools of talent...draft and FA.

As starters go...right now we have lost Big, Huff, and Griffith as starters and have not replaced them or upgraded any positions.

Your right about the OLine. That is the biggest thing that is holding us back...

And your wrong about Them "telling us they dont have a clue". They are telling us they dont care...

When you have been bad forever, you can afford to overspend on afew players to try and win now. Cheap ass ownership is all it comes down to. CHEAP MILLIONAIRES, Sounds like JUMBO SHRIMP...

Thats the part that bothers me, we have essentially let 3 starters go--Huff wasn't very good but he was a starter meaning that his back-ups were probably either 1) not ready or 2) not very good. I guess we could draft a FS(Landry) or reach for Levi Brown (I'm assuming Thomas is off the board) at #5 and fill one of those spots but unless we get incredibly lucky we still need 2 starters as well as depth all over the place.

It really is pretty amazing, other teams have "capologists" trying to figure out every possible way to squeeze a few more signings onto the roster. We're cooking the books to make it look like we don't have $30 million in cap space.

It reminds me of the Pendergast thing....other teams (Jax, Carolina) fire their coordinators for going ONLY 8-8. We insist on rewarding a guy who coached three 4-12 or 5-11 teams.

It's a basic difference: other teams punish coaches for turning in anything less than the best, while we reward mediocrity. It is really apparent that Bidwill is the Donald Sterling of the NFL - just content to put any old product on the field and collect his revenue-sharing check every year.

Remember how he said we'd be on an even keel with the rest of the league as soon as he had more stadium revenue? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that stadium got built. Oh well, I guess Edgerrin was our one "stadium signing."

Building through the draft is ideal. The problem is, if you whiff on a few picks you're in trouble.

And that just gets us back to even...or in our case, 5-11.
