This is a pretty damn good team that has had to endure more injuries than any team deserves to endure. Even before Palmer was hurt, we were not a dominant team. We were an opportunistic bunch & the ball was bouncing our way often. Take Palmer & Fitz out of the equation, and we will struggle to win another game. It's obvious that Stanton would never win a playoff game for us, but most teams that lose a seasoned starting QB, suffer the same result. What happened to the Packers last year when Rodgers went down? Same with Colts a few years ago without Peyton. Bottom line, we will have to battle & claw with what we have at the QB position. We may get lucky & sneak into the playoffs & then get throttled in the 1st round. That's life.

All I can say is that the Cardinals had better find their QBOF & have him on the roster next year. If we have to lose our seasoned starter, at least we should be able to start grooming someone who has some kind of chance at being a future starter in the NFL.

I agree with the vast majority of your post. I think LT is soooo raw that he could still be the QBOTF and be the one to start grooming next year if CP goes down again.

The Patriots went 11-5 with freaking Matt Castle taking over for Brady and while that is very rare I expect the same kind of results with BA as our HC.

How poorly the entire team played against the Falcons blind sided me because I thought that kind of crappy play was a thing of the past.

Absolutely agree!

Yeah, I'm a kool-aider through and through and ALWAYS try to put some positive spin on things...BUT...you pretty much summed it up. We're GOOD...NOT GREAT! Not yet, anyways, though very possibly in the near future. Right now we have a career back-up QB who "locks" onto his receivers much too often and a running game that doesn't scare anyone. ...And God knows WHY you kick the ball anywhere near Hester. GOOD GRIEF!!!!! :bang:

9-3 at this point in the season is still pretty AMAZING so I'm NOT going to get down about things. Will we win another game this year? I'd say it's "iffy" at best.

MARK IN SC :)

I will say this...this organization is no longer considered a joke to anyone and I consider that in itself a remarkable accomplishment.

I will say this - ATL played pretty hard today.]]

It took awhile for us to gather up shake off and get rolling.

By then another weapon went down and it was all uphill sledding.

Atlanta might have saved Mike Smiths job today and if they continue to compete.

They were motivated and motivated teams in the NFL put up W's.

We have to overcome the slow start or not allow it at all.

Our money players need to step up consistently and that hasn't occurred either. It's not helping things.

PROPS to Rashad Johnson. He's stepped it up well this season.

I liked drafting LT in the 4th round, only because I thought Stanton was a system guy that could be a pretty good backup in the event Palmer was out for a short stretch of time. To his credit, he did fine in that role. When Palmer went out for the season though, Stanton was exposed. Cassell wasn't great, but he was vastly better than Stanton is. I was disappointed also with how they played today, but it really is tough to win on the road these days. We'll find out a lot about Arians next week, when this time comes home. I still think that we can steal a home win.

I agree this season is a win for me. I mean honestly take Rodgers and Nelson off Green Bay and let me know how good they are. Lets be realistic here

Yes we need a QBOTF but will they do it? I think this staff is so locked on winning know it's gonna get ignored & put on the back burner. Plus I think they're putting all their eggs in the Thomas bandwagon which I TRUELY don't see any hope for.
