Let's trade Shaq to Detroit

This idea popped up in another thread but I think it worth a new thread.

Shaq + Tucker for Sheed + Hamilton, the salary matchs perfectly.

We will have Sheed play at center, Hamilton and J.Rich start at 2-3, move Hill to bench is fine for his age. We lost paint offense which will definitely hurt our chance in playoff, but Sheed will be off the book at once, J.Rich + Rip + Amare might be a good core for future.

For the Pistons, they Shaq replacing Sheed at center is a solid improvement, they have quite a few servicable big men to play PF and/or backup Shaq. McDyess, Maxiell, Amir Johnson, and Kwame Brown. The lineup of Stuckey, AI, Prince, McDyess, and Shaq looks very balanced, much better what they currently have.

Hill is one of the most consistent players for the Suns. I don't think you bench a player that is doing his job. I want a PG in any trade.

Why do the Suns want Hamilton? I don't. I want to get younger and I'd at the minimum ask for Stuckey. Shaq isn't your everyday old center with no skills. He can still dominate the game.

If we could get Prince/Sheed for Shaq/Barbosa/Tucker/3 mil we would instantly become championship contenders.

Nash/Jrich/Prince/Amare/Sheed is a sick sick line up. You have great defenders to cover Nash/Amare. You have plenty of scorers, you have great spacing. You have a great team. Porter would have to be the worst coach in NBA history to mess that up.

They don't have a backup PG now, either. They just let AI handle the ball and create when Stuckey sits.

Both sides would probably weigh and bargain about Hamilton or Prince, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker. I don't think it will be very different for the Suns, either one of them. But be aware, Hamilton's contract ends by Lebron summer, 2010, it is a clever choice.

Actually we don't even have to send them Shaq. Just tell them to buyout Sheed and Prince and then sign them to the minimum.
