Let’s see if it was worth sitting out...
Leveon bell gives up $14.5 mil last year by sitting out then turns down a 3yr $45 mil ($15 mil/yr) contract from Steelers last year. Only to take less from the Jets 4yr $52.5 mil at ($13.5 mil/yr). Wht an idiot lost $14.5 mil and got paid less.... Now has NY taxes to boot... hahahahaha
His whole goal last year was to reset the market for RBs and then he settles for 35 mil guaranteed.
10 mil less than Gurley and can’t get the 14.5 mil he lost last season
I’m all for players getting paid but Bell needs to fire his agent.
The Jets play in NJ. Not that NJ taxes are any better.Leveon bell gives up $14.5 mil last year by sitting out then turns down a 3yr $45 mil ($15 mil/yr) contract from Steelers last year. This.Bell won and good for him. Obviously this is a situation of millionaires squabbling with billionaires, so little sympathy is deserved. But given what NFL players risk on a yearly basis, having something like the "franchise tag" on top of non-guaranteed contracts is absurd. I'm glad to see labor win out over a wildly unfair way of deflating wages.

Indy should have signed him. I don't get what they're doing. They have more $ available than any team, yet they're sitting pat. Bell would have made that offense amazing with the 1,2 RB combo.
Bell had $14 mill avail last season and let it go...
You can bet he thought he was going to make a lot more
This.
Fans siding with owners/billionaires in cases like this is sad & pathetic to me honestly.
