I have to think we will bring in a vet FA if Brown is out for an extended period of time. I would sign McKenzie as soon as I heard, and possibly look at Clifton (though I wonder if he would pass a physical). Same goes for Jeff Otah.

It has been a couple weeks and you know he is getting treatment. He is also not that old so his body should still bounce back pretty fast. You are probably right, but even if he is not ready now, if he can get ready by a couple weeks into the season, it is probably worth it.

At this point, I am exploring all options.

OH man this would suck. We have ZERO depth at tackle. Hell we don't even have a RT!

Same here. Seeing DJ Young get beat like a drum signifies that we do have worse options on this team at LT. And Bridges only plays well at the position with a TE or RB chipping in. Batiste is flat garbage. And Potter is a 7th round rookie who hasn't gone against elite pass rush talent.

Trust me, Otah wouldn't still be available if his knee was fine.

This is something I don't understand. The Cards hammered the Vikings and the Packers top 10 defenses in 2009 with this formula. Why abandon it? Our offense scored 75 points in those two games so its not like it hurt the offense.

Because we also have had deficiencies at RT. Someone has to be able to block on an island. Can't play Max Protect all game long. Fitz is already being covered by half a team's active roster

Apparently the Cards could. 75 points in just two games! But then they also had the Q and Breaston. A far better group of receivers than the overrated bunch we have playing alongside Fitz now.

Who was our RT back then? Oh yeah Levi Brown. Russ Grimm couldn't put together and coach a Pop Warner offensive line.

I hope he is ok. Our OT situation is already bad. Even though Levi struggles in pass protection, I think he is pretty solid in run blocking.

I have a horrible feeling that a serious injury to Levi will result in Snyder starting at one of the tackles. I hope I'm wrong.

It wouldn't shock me if the Cards kicked Colledge outside to LT (he played their with Green Bay) and then inserted Kelemente into the starting LG position. It provides the least amount of player movement and does not require anyone to switch sides of the line. Snyder to RT is also an options as well as BRidges at LT. We will see.

That was my fear last night. The thought of Snyder starting at LT for the entire season. Can it get any worse???

Schefter: Levi Brown torn tricep

looks like really bad news. While his pass protection is average at best seems his run blocking is pretty good.

August 18, 2012Cardinals starting LT Levi Brown tore his triceps Friday night and is undergoing an MRI this morning to determine extent of injury. Brown is expected to miss at least three months and could miss the rest of the season depending on this morning's test.

Speaking strictly business:

I am personally more concerned about our lack of depth, then Levi Brown.

On a personal level, Levi Brown is a Cardinal, vet. I hope he is OK, and comes back a better player, regardless if he misses 3mos. or a year.

Hearing LT Levi Brown tore his tricep right off the bone, the MRI will tell the extent of the injury (muscle or tendon) likely done 4 the yr

Horrible, horrible news.

I hope McKenzie or Clifton is in shape to play...if so, bring them BOTH in ASAP.

If not, and we have to run with what we have, I'd move Bridges to LT and run with Batiste and Massie at RT.

Jeez, this is really bad news. (and good luck to Levi on his recovery...as much as we hate this, he must hate it even more).

Bridges will likely be the new LT. ouch. Who's available?

McKenzie was a RT
Clifton is probably done.
Did Max Starks sign anywhere?
Did Brandon Keith ever get a look at LT?
Marcus McNeil if he could ever get healthy.

It looks like they'll have to try and swing some kind of trade. Or they can always wait for camp cuts. My eye has been on James Lee. He was a FA but signed with Wash.

This is horrific, horrific news. NOT because Brown is any good and that I'll lament him not playing, but because we don't have the depth to deal with this injury. I thought Bridges would be better at LT than Levi anyway, but...who in the hell plays RT for us now? My guess is that Snyder slides out there. It's possible Colledge moves to LT and Bridges stays at RT, but either way, we would need someone to step up at OG. NOT GOOD!!! Bridges starts either way now, because Massie isn't anywhere near ready, Potter needs time to develop and gain strength (he is our future LT, IMO), and Baptiste is just awful.

Levi Brown: Torn Tricep.

Got the text from KTAR. Im assuming that means hes out for season. I hope someone good comes along during veteren cuts or they make a trade. Seems like Bridges is the only option to fill in at this point...

Ughhh...
