Cards close to bring Levi Brown back

Per PFT.

Likely to play RT and will still be in need of a LT.

I say bring him back.

Thoughts?

if he is not asking for outrageous LT money, absolutely. Matter of fact I would really like the guy for being the anti Leonard Davis (and asking for money in a position he will not end up playing)

Probably wait until tomorrow because the league offices are closed so it cant be approved and the corresponding cap move(I assume they have to make one) cant be approved until tomorrow as well.

Looks like we're going to target it in the draft though. I don't know who, word is they're not that high on Jon Martin.

Who is to say they will have to draft one in the first round. Bell hasn't taken any more visits yet.

Heard the Martin thing as well. After the combine was over and they saw and interviewed the tackles while they liked some of them they were not overly impressed by any of them(when I say them I don't mean Kalil), it made them put Levi higher up on the priority list. All per Jurecki on the radio one day.

Now sign Bell and take BPA in round 1 and I am thrilled. Levi at RT doesn't bother me at all. Good move Cards.

*Charlie Brown Voice* Oh brother!

Actually, I'd be okay with this...IF it is for just over the minimum, and IF it is for him to play backup. Gurg.

Yeah, but with the Levi signing, how would they fit Bell under the CaP?

tHEY'D have to let a few players go I think.

I like the idea of targeting some tackles in the 3rd or 4th.

That leaves the BPA option open in the 1st. Or maybe a trade down.

I think the saftey from Bama Barron could be an under the radar guy. Or they could surprise and target Floyd or one of the rush backers like Perry or Ingram.
And you can't rule out Keuchly.

I like it a lot. Levi was a decent RT, it keeps the line somewhat intact and he's a good run blocker. If the Cards can sign Bell and if DeCastro is gone, it gives the Cards a lot more options in the draft. Maybe Michael Floyd?

Best of a bad situation I suppose.

The only way out of this (lack of talent at LT) conundrum is to draft raw talent late and then develop it; except RG so far hasn't been the OT Whisperer we thought he'd be - Keith was supposed to be the poster boy for that strategy only the light switch never totally clicked on for him.

Still - I think developing from within is the best way to go considering the circumstances.
