This thread is probably best to have a poll. Anyhow, even with multiple picks, I thought he did well. If he gains enough NFL experience, he could turn out to be good. He seems to be accurate. Better than Skelton. Do we really need to draft QB in the draft?

no effing way do we wait for these guys to develop. That waiting for a guy to get in a few years is over. The plays we saw from Lindley were fool's gold. You can't dink and dunk your way to win's in this league anymore.

We need a starter we can't rely on Lindley to be anymore than #3 when next season starts IMO.

But he has way more upside now than Skelton IMO. Unless we see the rest of the way that 4 INT's wasn't a fluke, I like his arm and he's more accurate than Skelton. 19 games for Skelton 21 picks and he still hasn't gotten to 55% playing this year in a short passing offense.

But we absolutely need a real starter next season. Not sure there is one in the draft though.

We win two more meaningless games, whiz and grimm return, horton leaves and we cut skelton and bring in someone like matt moore or chad henne to duke it out with lindley and kolb. Also, we bring in someone crappy like chilo rachal and draft an OL in the 5th round as a solution to the problems there.

Yes - draft a QB or if we somehow get an experienced one and keep Kolb - Lindley is #3 at best.

Draft a QB but will we find someone like Luck and RGIII??? Even if there is one, I don't think we can get him. KC will most likley draft THAT guy even we try to move up by giving up whatever we have.

Lindley looks good throwing under twenty yards. Over twenty he sucks. Who knows if he can develop or not. His int's were horrible. At best he should be our number three QB. Whiz pulled Skelton for missing a TD pass when he was up by 13 points. Lindley has four INT's and he is still in the game. So much for making players accountable.

He pulled Skelton because he missed a guy by 10 yards who was WIDE open in the endzone. And he pulled him because according to reports, Whiz felt that Skelton didn't put in enough work to justify his poor play. in other words if you're struggling but working hard to get better that's one thing, if you're struggling but not making the extra effort, you deserve to sit.

Lindley has a great arm he just doesn't seem to have any touch, like the throw he missed to Housler in the 2nd half or the one he missed to Powell that was an easy TD. He throws everything on a line right now, which is what Skelton did as a rookie too. The difference is as a rookie Skelton wouldn't have even seen those guys let alone throw to them he checked down constantly as a rookie and looked like he didn't know the offense at all.

Lindley threw downfield more times today than Skelton did in all his rookie starts combined.

Not an argument for Skelton but I'd take the QB who missed a TD pass.

I do think Lindley has the best potential. Too bad he has to get thrown to the wolves... actually like Skelton.

I'm pretty sure we don't need a poll. Lindley blows.

I don't even know why people are remotely encouraged by Lindley's performance so far. He just threw 4 picks against a team that hadn't created a turnover in 5 games, which is 1 game short of the NFL record. In 1.5+ games, he's sporting a 46.9 passer rating and averaging a paltry 5.2 ypa. Those are Max Hall-type numbers.

Continually comparing Lindley to Skelton does nothing because it makes no difference if Lindley is better than Skelton. Why can't we have a QB we can compare to someone good as a rookie?

Tom Brady was 13-23 0 0 in his first start as a rookie. Peyton Manning 21-37 with 3 interceptions. Phillip Rivers was 8-11-1-0. BenR was 12-22-1-1

I'd like those comparisons better.

We stink.

We have stunk for a long time now, especially on offense.

It doesn't matter who we have had a qb since Warner and ironically he was benched when we drafted Leinart. Sad to say but thank god Leinert got hurt or we would have probably never made it to the Super Bowl.

We've changed qb's, offensive coordinators and QB coaches.

Two things have remained constant...Whiz and Grimm.

It's time to tear the offensive side of this team apart and start from scratch. Sorry to say but this would include the head coach because he IS the offensive guru on this team and has had very limited success without a Qb named Warner. Whiz will NEVER agree to give up control of the offense. He truly believes is system works.

Let's not pretend we don't need at the very least a 1st-string, bona fide, quality starting QB. If we ride with Lindley into next season, we're idiots. If we ride with Lindley and Kolb in a competition, we're idiots. We need a QB, or at least a QBOF, and we need one badly. Bring in a new GM, have him bring in a new HC, and have him pick his 'guy'. Otherwise? Ugh.

Lindley's abysmal 44 QB rating speaks loudly of how crummy he is. Lindley and Whiz are the best weapons the Cards opponents have against the Cards Defense.

If you are a Lindley fan, then you really don't care about the Cards winning anymore games this season.
