It's early to say this is a must win game but................
At home, it sure would go a long way to calm the masses.
It's going to be a tough game, very tough and we will see what this team is made of.

Cards win!!!

Don't know who wins but I expect a HUGE game from Fitz and Palmer since BA said Megatron was the best receiver in football.

Cards are 10-6 at home last 2 seasons and routed lions last year. So Cards are a good bet anytime they are at UPS.

Lions 29. Cards 21

Whew! Tough one.

Cardinals need to:

1. Stop Reggie Bush on screens and check downs.

2. Stop Megatron.

3. Create some sort of pass rush or Stafford will throw for 500 yards.

4. Do something, anything to give Palmer some time in the pocket, if they do then Palmer could throw for 500 yards.

5. I think the Cardinals would be best served to play Andre Ellington a little more this game. He could be a weapon on draws and screens.

Score? Again, very tough one.

38-28 Lions, and it will be closer than that. Lions tack on a late FG, very late into the 4th quarter. If the game is competitive.

If the Lions defensive line takes over the game ...... it could be 28-3 Lions at halftime.

Vegas has the Cards as 1.5 pt dogs so it should be a close game. Cards do play well at UPS and the Lions haven't established a winning identity yet.

Does Suh's latest issue help or hurt them? They have a ton of talent on that Dline and at best the Cards have a decent Oline.

Can Bowles get DD & CC charged up enough to make an impact?

Will Levi shake off the rust enough to have a decent game?

Too early in the season for me to be realistic and take off the rose colored glasses so....

Cards 27 Lions 24

Don't have a feel, bad or good, for the game. But, I do think that in order to win, we have to keep Reggie Bush under control. As good as Megatron is, we, at least, have a guy to play him. I have NO IDEA how we'll defend RB. I think we'll do a better job in pass pro, since we're playing on grass and that helps negate the speed rush, and should make it easier to game plan in order to help Levi. And the Lions don't have an elite pass rusher. Now can we get to Stafford? That might be the deciding factor in the game. And if he throws for 500 yards, it will probably mean two things:
1. My fantasy team will win.
2. The Lions were trailing.

Should be an entertaining, offensive game.

We are 6-1 in home openers at U of P Stadium, so I think we will win. Any other time, and I think we would lose to a team like the Lions.

Deep analysis, I know.

Based on the poor coverage and tackling I witnessed in the flat and short routes against the Rams, I'm not overly confident about this happening.

34-27 Cardinals. Lions D penalized for late hits. Our receivers torch Lions secondary. Reggie Bush has big day.

It's not that poor an analysis really. The Cardinals record at home isn't that bad.

They are 14-10 the last 3 seasons with some really, really pitiful QB play. Teams so bad almost everyone associated with them has been run out of town including one of our best players in team history, Adrian Wilson. Now we have a real QB so.......

Cards come into the home opener with an attitude. Lions lead most of the way but Cards go ahead on defensive TD and win 31-28.
