Oh come on! This is an easy one. We have no run game whatsoever vs Lions run D that held Peterson to 1yd per carry the whole game after his first carry.

So that leaves the passing game. Our QB vs Theirs (Stafford), WR vs Theirs (Johnson), RB receptions vs Theirs (Bush).

How the hell are the Cards going to win this one? Score 28 points off special teams/D.

Let's face it, we may win a few games this year if the ball bounces our way, we get the close calls, and play over our heads like a team possessed against our weakest opponents.

It isn't going to be pretty, Birdland.

I choose to view this as a pretty thorough reverse jinx.

I got into a little donnybrook with some posters here about who's more important to the offense between Fitz and Palmer. If Fitz sits this one out so that he can play the rest of the season at 100% (but if the team starts 0-2, what's the point of being healthy the rest of the year?), we have no chance.

I think the effects of the Kool Aid are wearing off for me. I have been staunchly optimistic since the new regime started falling into place and developing. I was still sort of optimistic after the game with St. Louis. I really want us to win and play well on Sunday but I'm getting a baaaaad feeling coming over me. I hope I'm wrong.

Hope:

Isn't Detroit one of those teams where we always turn an unknown running back into the next Barry Sanders?? I know they have Bush, but whoever their 2nd or 3r string back is, he will go for more than 100 yards...

Fitz is supposedly less than 100%... Could be an ugly home opener.

Much like last week, kind of expecting a loss, hoping for a win, and wouldn't really be surprised either way.

How's that for taking a definitive stand?!

If Bowels runs m2m D like last week, we will probably get smoked beacause of the team speed the Lions have over or unit, especially Bush.

Rams getting torched by the Falcons- so our measuring stick already has oil on it-
I think we are going to pass ourself to death is my prediction-
a couple great plays can negate a bunch of misfires- We have a punchers chance-
I think we can compete with a solid game plan-

Rams down by 7 after being down 24-0 at half. Sounds like our game.
