they're having callers go down the cards schedule and predict wins and losses game by game. everyone thinks 7-9 is rediculously optimistic?

great job, we need more calls llike that, i'm tired of the pessimism in the valley, especially from people uninformed of the cards offseason moves and basing their opinions on history.

Bob Kemp is a pompous boob.

Anyone who bases their entire show on the ability to insult their listeners needs to go away. 1060 has become a joke of a radio station. They should rename themselves to the golf channel.

Let me put it this way.

I loathe 910, and I find myself listening them because I simply can't listen to the awful hosts they have on 1060 right now. The best thing that station could do would be to fire everyone and start over. The only guy remotely entertaining is Hellestrae.

bob kemp is a bum. i caqn't stand his condescending attitude. i know more about sports than that guy and i don't feel the need to insult people when i know i'm dead wrong...most of the time.

I love listening to Bob Kemp. I really like it when Section 11 calls in.

Good stuff.

tougher schedule than you may think:

our home game vs san fran is like an away game........
we tend to not do well in st louis.......or at dallas
philly and indy will be tough, especially if they have something to play for......
opening day on the road at the giants may be tough (undecided)
houston at home can be tough.......as is detroit
washington and jax are two VERY solid defensive teams

I don't get it. When I saw our schedule, I immediatley thought it was a pretty easy one. Infact, I believe it is one of the easiest schedules i have ever seen for the cards. Add to that that we could very well open the season with a W (I think we may even be 3-0 or 4-0) and we could make the playoffs. When is the last time the cards opened the season with a win?

I thought it was about as favorable as we could ask for. Start out easy to gain some confidence, by the time we play Philly and Indy our new people should have jelled. And theres the distinct possibility they will be resting their starters by that time.

Until all of the moves are made it's just plain rediculous to try to predict how the Cards are going to fare. As they stand right now they are in disarray at several positions, but so is most of the league. This is what happens during the offseason. When the draft is complete and free agency is done, we'll have a better picture of the team we have on paper. Only actually playing out the season gives you an accurate gauge on this team.

There are no experts at this point. San Diego was picked to be at the bottom last year and look what happened. You just have to consider anyone that tries to come off as an expert prognosticator as overly full of their own opinion. Pessimist or optimist.

Well the biggest difference this year is we have hope. Why because we actually have a real NFL Quarterback. And maybe soon a real 1st rate RB along with 1st rate receivers.

Wow. Surprised at all the dislike for Kemp. He's one of the few hosts here that I find palatable. Jurecki, Bickley, Gambodoro? You can have those guys.

I don't always agree with Kemp, but he knows his stuff and doesn't have to raise his volume to emphasize his point.

You must be listening to another Bob Kemp, because 1060's is a blowhard, know-little, egotistical loudmouth who can't stand to have someone who doesn't agree with him speak.

I agree. So many factors come into play, and it's too early to predict anything. Injuries, the draft, etc play big roles into who will do what this year.
