The Whiz comment not yours silly.
Oh. Duh! for me.
The Whiz comment not yours silly.
This is my take. Whiz has sort of a dry sense of humor.
Also I think, as noted in the interview, a lot of research goes into the decisions Graves and Whiz make based upon facts.
I hope not because these two have made some of the most boneheaded, head scratching, flat out stupid moves. I really hope they are just winging it. I'd hate to think someone puts so much research into something and still screw up as bad as they do.
"Based on facts"...such as their opinion that Kevin Kolb will be a franchise QB.
Good research there, fellas.
I just made monkey bread, it's awesome, guess who doesn't get any?
If this is leveled at me for thinking he sounded like a jerk when he answered a question, you should know I don't take that as a personal affront. I might if I were asking the question, but even then, I'd simply follow-up with explanation of why it's an important one.I swear, Whisenhunt could sneeze and someone here would act like they were personally slighted by the guy.

And, for the record, I've not been one around here that is calling for Whiz's head every other week. I not only think he's a pretty good coach, I think he's earned some leeway with us fans even when he makes a few boneheaded mistakes.
one would assume and that's what I thought, 3:00pm is annoucement time, they have to let us know somehow. Is there another press conference scheduled for today to announce FA signings?
and some of you thought we were going to sign another corner, let alone nmabdi asoughma. it's like y'all haven't learned anything after all these years.
Is it just me or did anyone else notice that RG did not seem at all happy during the press conference? When it first started, he had somewhat of a scowl on his face and he didn't join into the conversation at the first part of the press conference.
I think he realizes his job is riding on this decision.
not gonna give credit for looking into nnamdi when the news it we "bowed out quickly" means we called, heard he wants big money obviously and said ok and hung the phone up

As a follow up I've never understood why a high profile, highly paid coach or player didn't use some of their money to hire someone like Cheesebeef to write stuff for them or the people who manage the image of politicians.
The media loves funny guys. First thing I'd do would be to hire a writer from Leno or Letterman or Necessary Roughness to provide me with one liners to go with the usual mundane questions that come from the media and practice them with my PR people every day.
Just look at this now famous situation. When John McCay was asked about the execution of his offense he replied "I'm all for it."
Just think what NFL lore would be missing if he'd just replied in coachspeak.
In all fairness---the Cardinals called and Nnamdi told them he was not interested in coming to Arizona. Money was probably never discussed.
I give the Cardinals credit for trying.
John McKay was a legitimately witty guy. Coaches such as him and Lou Holtz are few and far between. I'm not sure either one of them would make an attempt at humor in today's media circus, it's just not worth the effort. Humor is risky and you can't survive long in the public eye today if you're taking unnecessary risks. If you win, you can get away with the smug make-a-fool-out-of-the-reporter kind of stuff that Brian Billick used to get away with but look how quickly the universe turned against him once his team stopped winning.
