Livingston traded to Memphis

The Miami Heat announced today that they have traded guard Shaun Livingston and cash considerations to the Memphis Grizzlies for a 2012 conditional second round draft pick. In four games this season, Livingston averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 assists in 10.3 minutes. The 6’7” guard signed with the Heat as a free agent on October 3, 2008. He was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers with the fourth overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft

Looks like we won't be picking up Livingston. Too bad, i would have liked to give him a shot. If he is somehow able to became like his old self, the grizzlies may have one of the best PG/SG/SF combos in the league a few years down the road with Livingston/Mayo/Gay

Bummer I was hoping the Suns would get him. He seems like the ideal kind of guy to fill out the roster. He has potential to actually be useful but can just fill out a roster spot while he recovers and practices/gets back into shape.

I'd rather the Suns sign Fred Jones if they are not going after a legit PG. At least he is a veteran and can play a little PG.

Suns only give up picks if they can lose a player along the way without getting anything in return.

they don't want to get rid of the pick. a second rounder is non guaranteed anyway. the grizz received cash considerations in the deal, so they basically cashed out their future second rounder to take livingston off miami's hands
