Local student-athletes receive Kip Nininger scholarships on Yellowstone night

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Over at the Berglund Center on Saturday the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs were able to defeat the Macon Mayhem 5-4. During the second intermission a special ceremony was held to honor two local student-athletes.

Glenvar High School wrestler Chase Miller and Cave Spring High School football player Drew Browning were awarded scholarships from the Kip Nininger Scholarship Fund.

Lastly, since the Rail Yard Dawgs wore special Yellowstone jerseys that were auctioned off. With all the proceeds going to the Kip Nininger Scholarship Fund.
