The only thing that I hope for from Thomas is to see some progress. He has had the year so far to learn the playbook and learn from Palmer who to study. If he looks lost, I'm guessing he may not be in the long term plans. He may get baited into some bad throws, and make some bad reads...that happens. But, I really want him to progress through his reads and get the ball out of his hands with certainty. Natural for any inexperienced QB to struggle with nuance.

Yep. Can't ask for much more out of him. We can hope, sure, but that's about all. It needed to happen, though.

Well, we have to go all out to win this game, because the reward is huge if Seattle suddenly sticks it's head up it's rear.

But, starting QB really doesn't matter much now. Thomas, Lindley, are both pretty hopeless. Debating which one of them should start is like arguing which three-legged Shetland pony has the best chance at winning the Kentucky Derby.

I wouldn't bet on the pony if it was named Lindley!:D

I just hope BA allows him to run the ball if needed. I think he doesn't want him to and is trying to turn him into a pocket Passer, which is taking away from what I think LT is really good at. LT always reminds me of a kapernick type player. Hope he let's him do what he does best and runs when needed.

Didn't Arians say that he was happy with the way Lindley's played against Seattle? If he was happy with him, why replace him with someone you said you will replace very quickly?

I'm sure it's a relative statement.

He did actually say that he was happy with Lindley's play, but unhappy about the play from others.

Relative or not, it's an odd thing to say and then replace the one guy you claimed to be happy with. Following that up with saying that you are unhappy with others and those "others" lost the game.

That's how coaches lose a locker room.

LMAO...Arians will never lose a locker room. What he says to media is not what he says to players. Ask Jay Gruden what happens when you trash your own players at a press conference.

And why add even more pressure to the young guy you're throwing in there by telling everyone that you will have "a quick hook" with the kid?

Sounds like an inexperienced head coach.

I wouldn't bet on that. Players hear what a coach says to the media. He has to be consistent whether he's communicating to players or the media about specific players.

In spite of your obsession with me, I stil find Arians comment and actions concerning his QB situation a bit odd.

Name calling is common here.

I'm still wondering why Arians made the decision he made after making the comments he made after the Seattle game. It just doesn't make much sense. You don't come out and say you were happy with his performance, then replace him. It just seems odd that he's replacing a guy he said was ok and not calling out the players he said were to blame for the loss.

It just seems like something an inexperienced head coach would do.
