LOL! Pistons hold Jason Kidd and the Nets to 56 points.

Ben Wallace was a ***** to start with and, now, with Rasheed Wallace....they look very tough.

Tayshaun Prince is also a very good defender. He and the Wallaces have got to constitute the best shot blocking frontcourt in the NBA.

Oh boy. Miller's vertical is measured in fractions of an inch and you could have timed his shot release with a sun dial. Hang it up Reggie. Worst offenses in the NBA.

Oh please! It was amazing that Tayshaun Prince was able to get to the ball. Of course you would not have been able to do it against a young Miller or one of the Pacers younger players. Still, Miller had a mile headstart, and Prince did get way up there to block the shot.

Besides, he was talking about the block last night against Al Harrington. Prince absolutely stuffed him on a slamdunk attempt in the last five minutes of the game.

Worst game and series in the history of the NBA playoffs. Boring. BFD if some offensive impaired Al Harrington takes it inside and gets blocked. That is not great defense. That is terrible offense. 60 point games suck so bad, that a blocked shot is the play of the game. PLEASE!!!!!!!! Even the ESPN shills are getting sick of this type play.

don't get me wrong. I agree with you regarding the ugliness of this series. The defense was great, but the players were missing shots on their own. It was ugly basketball. That's for sure.

That said, All Harrington is not offensively impaired. He also can get up there and dunk with any power forward.

BTW I think one position that should be addressed by the Detroit Pistons this summer is point guard. Chauncey Billups rivals Jason Kidd with his shooting. Like Kidd you'll get hot sometimes, but more often than not he is a poor shooter.

I disagree strongly that the defense was great. If players continually take the ball into the heart of a zone defense and attempt to slam through 2 or 3 players, that is stupid selection and limited, at best offense. Dunking is not good offense. It's playground crap. Makes ESPN highlights and lowlights is about all. Pulling up and hitting a 12 -15 foot jumper over the zone clogged shot blockers is good offense. Good defense is denying a player the ball, or pushing the ball to a bad spot or denying a player his spot shot.

There are two recurring themes throughout the playoffs: great defense and bad outside shooting.

For the Suns to even think about getting to the NBA final four, they need to become a great defensive team. This means EVERYONE on the team has to be strong on defense and plays hard all the time. They can't use gimmicks to cover weak defenders and cannot hope to play the better teams if forced to double team opponents on every play.

At the same time, the Suns needs to have five guys on the floor who can score. They can't afford a good passing/bad shooting point guard any more than they can afford a PG who can't defend. Nor can they afford an all defense no offense center any more than a center who can't defend.

Players need to be evaluated on how they fit into a potential championship team.

Please stop with the great defense. That is the best excuse the NBA spin doctors can come up with. The offense sucks. The product is lame and the
" great Defense " spin is just a poor excuse.

Rip Hamilton killed the Pacers with exactley that type of shot selection.

Yep , he was the difference in a 69 -65 game. Think about it. 48 minutes with a 24 second shot clock and zone defenses. That is totally pathetic. Not great defense. The halftime analysts actually ripped the players , coaches and NBA at halftime. Real fans should boycott these games. Worse than watching paint dry. I gave up earlier in the playoffs and came back last night. I'm done until next year, when I can watch the Mavs, Kings, Griz. The NBA front office has killed the game. They punish offensive teams and reward the thugs. Go figure. This is worse than watching field goal dominated NFL games.
