1969 for me.

We were living in Columbia, MO at the time, my dad was also a Cards fan...we ended up moving to Indiana later that year, but I always remained a Cardinals fan no matter where I ended up living.

(My dad eventually became a Colts fan BTW. I'll never forgive him for that.)

After the Big Red left St. Louis my family all became RAMS fans except for me. I kept my loyalty to the team I grew up with.

As the name handle suggests since '88. I was 10 and it was the year sports really bit me. First year of little league, the Suns turned it around with KJ, Chambers, Hornacek, EJ, and of course the Cardinals come to town. We didn't have a baseball team, so I went with the closest franchise that also happen to be my grandma's home team, the Dodgers, who won the world series that year. Great to see Gibby as the D'backs coach. But had to switch when we got the d'backs. It was weird during that timeframe where the D'backs were announced in '95 where you knew they weren't going to be your long term team, and while they had a shot with the Karros, Piazza built teams, they didn't get another one. In 1993 while in Spanish class, where you pick a Spanish name to be called by, I chose Ramon for Ramon Martinez.

Great video, gotta love those old intros.
Remember to get a youtube video downloader, and whatever is on youtube is yours forever (or a new computer or hd crash...unless you transfer them over).

I have been a fan since at least 1990, my dad used to take me to games when I was little (I was 6 during that season). I've had season tickets since 2004 and have not missed a game since. 82 home games in a row.

I have been a Card fan for a long time. I remember John David Crow and what an exciting rookie year he had. A piece of trivia for all of you fans, did you know that John David Crow holds at least one all time record in the NFL? Remember when the Cards played in Chicago at Comiskey? I remember the up and down years of the 60's and the good years of the 70's. I remember how Jim Brown seemingly had record performances against us whenever we played them. We could not defend screen passes any better then than we can now.

Three Cardinals even came to speak at our highschool sports banquet. They were actually rather inspiring. Funny thing, they were all linemen. They looked just like ordinary people, not like the mountains of men that we see today in the trenches of the NFL.
One thing that I have decided is noteworthy. Since Bill B. took over the team they have been mired in mediocrity (to say the least). The team under Stormy seemed to show some flashes of competency. That infamous trade with the Rams just exemplafies the poor judgement that has been displayed over the decades by the management. Here's to hoping that we will return again to the SB!!!!

By the way, JDC holds the NFL record for completed passes by a non-qb.

I keep wanting to say 1971 black and white Tv with rabbit ears Monday Night against the Redskins?? was my first game. I would have been 5. Might have been 1973. Think it was 1971 because really followed the Cardinal BB team and Joe Torre that year. I am just having a senior moment....it will come to me. First live game 1975....good times.I remember Bill and Stormy standing in the endzone in there trench coats looked like gangsters

1968. Was playing for the Dallas Blackhawks in the Central league and attended a game with a diehard Cowboy fan. Left the game a Cards fan forever.

I was born a Cards fan in 65. Dad and Grandpa had me in Cards gear and took me to my first game at the old age of one in St Louis.

I've been a Arizona Cardinals fan since 1988.

Prior to that I was a Cowboys fan because those were the games televised locally in Phoenix.

early 70s --

while I cant beat time spent -- how about:

I was in Busch Stadium in 1974 with my dad when the Cardinals beat the Giants to clinch a NFC East Championship. I was then standing in UoP with my dad and son when the Cardinals beat the Rams to clinch their division title in 2008.

I hope my son doesnt have to wait another 33 years.
